  1. Was reading this in Defense News about Taiwanese M60A3's and I couldn't figure out what the device mounted over the main gun is. Camera or something electronic that requires a pretty beefy mount? Searched on google plus google images and came up empty...so I digress to the experts.
  2. I have been using Audacity (free) to record and it has a filter that makes it semi radio sounding. You can find tutorials on youtube to see how to do this. I do like the comparison feature that they added to the mission builder, since it allows you to tell how loud your imported wav file is as compared to the standard "we are at a checkpoint" wav. I found out mine were to low in volume and needed some DB added. And it looks like I will be enlisting the voice acting skills of my fellow office workers to get some different sounding units verses everyone in the scenario sounding like my cloned army.
  3. Volcano...you have a side business that we don't know about?
  4. I remember reading this in the manual : The carousel rotation is limited to 1 direction only. In normal operation, the cassette loader takes 6 seconds to load a round. However, it can take up to 15 seconds to load a round if the round desired is a 355 degree turn of the carousel away. It can feel like a eternity when you have a tank lined up in the sights!
  5. Thank you Volcano! This helped me to figure out the procedure for the ATGM in the BMP-2. I have found that the SB wiki is a great resource for learning vehicles and procedures. Keep up the good work, sir!
  6. I thought it was odd that it shot at a target in some kind of trap system from a close range. So this thing will use an autoloader since all three crew members sit in the hull...I wonder if they are using the ammo storage in a the circular configuration like T-72M1 or T-80. And if so, have they fixed the slow loading of rounds that are indexed in the basket. To quote the Esim manual: The carousel rotation is limited to 1 direction only. in normal operation, the cassette loader takes 6 seconds to load a round. However, it can take up to 15 seconds to load a round if the round desired is a 355 degree turn of the carousel away. That would feel like a lifetime! If I find any more footage in my internet travels...I will post it.
  7. Wish there was a way to add that topo image (semi-transparent) to the map editor. Then you could kinda have a way to add the streams and roads in accurately and to scale. I have made some maps in the past by just looking at the map imagery online and using the Mark one eyeball to place it where I think it should go. It makes for creating towns and villages a hard and tedious task. I will give this one a try and it will give me a break from staring at Grenada which has been my latest project.
  8. So incremental time would be perfect to use for artillery on a unit that lingered at a waypoint over a certain designated time . Now it makes sense to me, thanks for taking the time to explain it. That is one thing I like about this community is that people take that time to pass that knowledge on. Thanks again Ssnake!
  9. I read the wiki several times about incremental time and mission time and I don't see the difference. Is incremental time able to start from a defined event or parameter? If someone has a layman's explanation of this, I would really be interested in hearing it.
  10. Excellent map! This looks like a perfect place to train with it covering about every aspect of fighting. Great job!
