  1. I agree with Apocalypse. I wish we had the choice to use normal mouse movement for scimitar etc just as we have in BRDM2. Having a slow rate of traverse will still provide the sense of urgency without constantly jumping from mouse to keyboard with right hand. I do like having arrow keys for the emergency crank on the M1 and Leo, since it’s a backup only used when damaged. It feels like using a degraded mode.
  2. Netherlands not New Zealand!
  3. Can anybody provide basic info on Netherlands modern force, for a scenario with Leo2A6, CV9035, Boxer, Fenek etc Company organisation, squad sizes , equipment, ammo, call signs or anything else! Much appreciated 👍
  4. That’s really fantastic... I have spent ages trying to get similar results and it’s always irreversible disaster and huge waste of my time! Well done 👍
  5. Looking forward to this one, great work Abraxas!
  6. There is a big range, some are fully modelled and some quite basic. Shell ballistics and damage are very detailed and accurate for each round, but unreliability I believe is Not modelled. This depends on the Scenario Designer, how accurate they made the scenario. (You could edit any scenario yourself to fix it though) Yes Steel Beasts has a very detailed After Action Review tool, shows every shell hit and damage event. Yes Steel Beasts has a very detailed shot by shot after action review you can save and reload or share after action review flies too. Yes, ammo is only added to the Sim when lots of real world data is available. Infantry simulation is very basic and quite abstracted and can be frustrating especially when you’re new to Steel Beasts. Helicopters are also just a basic simulation. Not directly like day to day failures, but a scenario designer could script in detail damage and repair of many systems on any vehicle. Yes! A very detailed scenario editor. And also a map editor. The available vehicles are a bit more focused on late cold war or after, but with the scenario editor you can create battles with any selection of the playable vehicles.
  7. Good job you made short work of those Armatas. Im impressed you killed a T15 with that airstrike!
Sometimes its fun just blasting a whole bunch of vehicles in a short time, nice details 👍

  9. A test run of my new mission. Edited video with some comments added.
  10. 8f409e6e-eadd-48d8-a3cd-5a6055fd2de9 is the map you need
  11. I though they both have the same options? Defend Guard Hold Suppress Stay None ?
  12. I don't know if bug or just missing feature: When selecting both vehicles and troops together, the "Set Tactics" option cannot be selected from the right click menu. Really frustrating for scenario design and sometimes in heat of battle, you have to unselect vehicles or troops individually. The other options"Set Fire Control" and "Set Formation" work just fine in this case. An example is when unloading troops from pcs, if you drag and select all the troops and the PCs you cannot issue a Defend tactic without de selecting the PCs.
  13. I'm running a quite similar system but just intel 9900K. It does use multi threads but I dont know the technical details. I see at least 4 cores quite busy (peaking at 50% - 80% load) during a busy scenario. You will get framerates around 50 - 60 fps even with huge scenarios and good view distances. Dont expect to see framerates in the hundreds in steel beasts regardless of your hardware budget. But It does play very well at 50 - 60fps! Over the years perfomance and graphics engine have slowly and surely improved massively, the time frame is years not months you will just need to be patient about updates
