  1. Gibsonm and Ssnake. Thank you as always gentlemen for your quick, informative and kind responses. Indeed, I was thinking of the Fenneks as being like the U.S. and Russian self propelled mortar systems. Rather than just being carriers for mortar crews. As they say in TV Law dramas, "question asked and answered your Honor!" ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜Š Stay well all, and have a great holiday season.
  2. When I added Fennek 60mm mortar carriers to a "home made scenario"๐Ÿ˜‰ I'm creating. I noted that it seems as though there are no ammunition options for the 60mm. mortars that the vehicles carry. There are the usual ammunition options for the machine guns though. Just to make sure that I wasn't overlooking a way to select ammunition for the mortars. I looked at the Fennek AD vehicle, and that also doesn't seem to have a menu option relating to the SAMs that the vehicle type carries either. I'm sure that Ssnake will address this issue either by adding the option at a later time, and in the meantime, possibly offer comments on the issue.

My thanks to Ssnake for his usual great customer service.๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜Š I came across the videos you offered links to here in this forum while viewing other SB Pro Tutorial videos in the past 24 hours on YouTube.๐Ÿ˜ฒ๐Ÿ˜Š I of course subscribed to SB Pro Videos and get notifications when new ones are available, and then view and archive them for future reference. It's is extremely helpful having videos to follow step by step. There's a big difference in reading how to do something, and actually seeing it done. Once again my sincerest thanks to Ssnake. ๐Ÿ˜Š
  4. Thank you Ssnake. I haven't even begun to explore the use of drones yet. So your advice, "it's best to put them on a party of their own lest you not run out of callsigns". Is like trying to explain a tank to a chicken.๐Ÿ˜ž Are there any instructions on how to use drone swarms in any of the printed documentation? I did archive the drone info in the recent Release notes for easy referencing. Stay well and regards to die Katzen.๐Ÿ˜Š
  5. Gibsonm and Mirzayev - Gentlemen, thank you for your much appreciated quick replies. Gibsonm gets points, Mirzayev gets the "Win". He was able to decipher my incomplete question. I realized after posting the question that I didn't indicate exactly where the container in question was located in one of the menus. I was going to post a "P.S.", but knew that someone would know exactly where I found the item. So the container is listed with the drone dropdown menu, and is the last item. The addition of attack drones should prove to be a very interesting addition to the weapons set. Not being the brightest of people, I'm looking forward to a lot of trial and error on my part.   6. Greetings all. I'm exploring all of the new things in the recent SB Pro release. I came across the item in the included screen shot. I don't know if it is mentioned in any of the documentation for the sim. Thanks in advance for any answers, comments and/or thoughts.
  7. My thanks as always to Ssnake for the SB sim overall, and his kind handholding in helping me to understand all of the features SB Pro offers. Doing some research on the SB version of the Centauro II Troops, I found this to be a great tutorial on not only the vehicle, but an explanation about the added scouts. Which is not mentioned at all in the videos available about the Centauro II in Google search. I assume the videos and articles were written before the Troop version of the vehicle was developed and/or operational. The really great bonus in the video, is the tutorial on how to use the new killer drone! This will really help me to utilize it. Stay well Ssnake. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜Š
  8. Gentlemen. Thank you all for your kind and helpful information regarding my query about operating Blue forces with Green (in this case), allied forces in the "offline" mode of SB Pro. I'm sure if other people visit this discussion, they will appreciate seeing what exactly we are talking about. I have used the "party dispositions" menu, and have tried various settings, but haven't found a solution to my "problem". Once again, thank you very much for your kind assistance. Stay well๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜Š
  10. Gentlemen. I'm in the process of creating an offline scenario that features Blue and Green allied forces against a Red force. The Green forces don't follow combat instructions, and ignore the Red forces even in the test mode. I can operate individual Green vehicles in the test phase, but not in "Offline sessions". In the offline sessions the Green units only move as directed, but I can't operate any Green vehicles, like I can in the Test mode. I have tried to make sure that the Green units are properly recognized as Blue allies. I must be doing something wrong, because I'm sure that there is a reason to have allies for the Blue and Red units. Any comments and/or advice will be much appreciated.๐Ÿ˜Š

You may compose the LOLs from available elements of the land object palette (trees, boulders, bushes, โ€ฆ) and configure the density of the LOL, then save it as a template, and create these objects in your maps. Is is a very convenient way to line country roads with tree lines, field with hedgerows etc." In short, I can't figure out how to do that. I admit I am dense, and lazy. I've only created one or two unit templates in 20 years of using SB Pro. I think for someone like me. It would be easiest to draw a line that turned into trees or bushes, (not like the original lines provided in the vegetation creation that form irregular lines of vegetation), like I can draw a line to create walls, etc. Also, it would be nice to have a small selection of gates to close walled areas.. Has anyone seen any pipelines or oil refineries lately, or freight trains to put on those lovely railroad tracks?๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ˜ Thanks for your attention folks.

  13. Gentleman, I am please to announce, that with the kind and professional assistance of sSnake. I received in the past week, my SB Pro 4.1 package. It took five days, from the day I placed the order, to receiving the following in the U.S. Mail. One compact bubble cushioned envelope, containing - 1 ea. thick printed manual, 1 ea. thumb drive, red in color, 1 ea. codemeter, and 1 ea. surprise gift. Needless to say, I am very happy to receive this new version of SB. Following the printed instructions for installation of the Sim. It loaded flawlessly. I will have to do some reading, since the map setup is quite different from the older versions of SB. I have been the proud owner of SB from when the first version shipped, back in 2000. Aside from SB being my most important gaming interest. I have had the pleasure to interact with various members of the SB family. While there are a goodly number of members who have been extremely helpful and kind. I have to say that sSnake and Matsimus have been most helpful and kind over the years. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘Thank you gentleman.๐Ÿ˜Š "Scouts out!" "Fight smart... Move fast, and bring artillery!"
  14. Gentlemen. Once again I thank your for your assistance, advice and attention, concerning my issue. I use the floating taskbar running Win10 Pro. Normally, it is not a problem. As I said in my last "thank you". I just leave a little space for the taskbar to appear below the SB screen, and I can see all of the unit info where I should. Stay well.๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜Š
  15. Gentleman, thank you for your kind and quick responses. I should have given some info regarding the screen resolution I am using with SB. In short, my monitor is a 32in. display. I normally use it at its native resolution of 3843 x 2141. Apparently, because of a "floating" taskbar. I cannot see the very lowest border of the simulation, and therefore can't see the information that I was referring to. The solution turns out to be, reducing the SB screen size. For example, I can see all of the info in the lower left hand side of the lower margin, at 3562 x 1923. My entire monitor screen area can't be used, but that is fine. I will experiment with screen size adjustments between 3843 x 2141 and 3562 x 1923. I'm sure that I will find a game screen size that I prefer, while getting all of the information the simulation offers.   16. I may be way behind, when it comes to the SB PRO upgrades info. So, I'm not surprised that I have missed some info that was supplied with some of the updates. My question is, where is the detailed unit information, that use to be supplied in the extreme lower left corner of the map screens? I'm referring to the notations that detailed the unit type and its essential details like constituent numbers, (3 M1a1 tanks or the number of troops), in the selected unit, along with the unit ID. My program software, may have been corrupted in someway, because I no long get that information at all. That is, unless I select a unit on the F5 map, and then use F1 to view the unit in the 3D environment. Is there something wrong with my SB edition, or am I missing something that is very obvious? Thanks to all that reply, for their assistance.
  17. Fellow members. i appreciate all answers to my question. To clarify. I have a CM dongle from an earlier version of SB. I would like to use it with the next version of SB version, after re-initializing it when making my purchase. If that is possible, great. If not, that's fine also.   19. As has happened in the past, for one reason or another. I lost all of the maps and scenarios I created. This time round, it was building a new rig. Before I start to reconstruct new maps and scenarios. I'm wondering if I should just wait for the next edition of Steel Beasts. Also, I have a CodeMeter Stick from SB Pro 3.023. Would I be able to reinitialize it, and use it with newer versions. Any thoughts and assistance with these questions would be much appreciated.

  21. Thank you all for the info you provided. Thank you MAJ_Fubar for explaining what I called Cyclone fencing. :-) I'll try to remember to use that term in the future. Also, thank you for agreeing with me, that it would be a nice addition to the "line objects" menu. Ssnake knows that I always have a long wish list of items that I would like to be included in SB. The addition of Power lines was a welcome surprise some time ago. ;-)
  22. I'm wondering if there will be any Upgrades or patches coming to SB Pro 4.19 in the next few months. It would be nice to have some artillery effected mid to high buildings. Cyclone fencing, pipelines, train tunnels, and highway overpasses would be nice additions. Just sayin.. :-)

  25. Gentlemen, I would appreciate knowing what Industrial object number 584 is. Also, I would like to congratulate the SB development team. On the really impressive number of new objects. They offer a lot of flexibility in designing scenarios. I particularly like the petrol fill up station objects. They are universal through out the world. ;-)
