Sure it's more fun to see more fire but should a KE hit make so much explosion? I thought a flash and minor fire and that would be it except when the magazine explodes. Edit: after further playtesting yes it is great

Well it wasn't a dead pixel. Though I can't play SB at max setting I'm happy with the way it is. Just have to ask Nvidia: What crap are you selling me? Damn 8600gt! I think my 90 year old wheelchairbound neighbor could draw polygons faster with pencil and paper than your bloody crappy 8600gt. Arrgh it is all a conspiracy....today's gpus are such crappy hardwares. Then some system perfomance hogger software to run on the crap hardware.... In a few years desktop would probably be able to break into NSA mainframe while still couldn't run some bloody games:decu:. The one setting which really hog my system is the ground cover. Everytime I set it to max my fps suffers:(.

I have the following system: Pentium core two duo 2GHz, 2Gb DDR 2 RAM, Nividia 8600GT 256Mb. I play at 1440x900 resolution. I can play at max setting but sometimes the fps bog down to lower 20 even reaching a lowest point of 14 especially when viewing heavily wooded area in wide perspective. Then there is this setting trouble. After setting everything to max sometimes after playing, the graphics option sliders are lowered a bit without me setting them to lower values like from being set at 100 to 96 instead. Is anyone able to give me insight on this? I take it that my system is unable to play at max setting? But the fps in most scenarios are fine even relatively high to 50s or even lower 60s. Only when there's plenty smoke belching and with dense forest scenery in wide perspective it would bog to 14 or more. Average I would say about 30+ to lower 40s.

Well with that monstrous machine:eek2: you I guess you can dig deep. 4 Gigs of RAM I assume you started to build the machine with Vista in Mind. Is that 4 Gigs with 4 1Gig sticks or twin 2Gig sticks? I thought once I was going for Vista but after knowing that its recommended RAM size is 4 Gigs...I prefer running the old trustee XP with 2Gig instead. Damn memory hogger. Why use multiple 8500GTs instead one more powerful 8600GTX or 8800GT?

All sliders to max? You lucky basxxxd:biggrin: Really including the ground cover? What resolution are you using? What's your machine specs?

Ya know you scared me for awhile as I thought that Battledog was a member of this forum. Pheew I know how you feel though as I've lost two of my dogs(one due to old age). But believe me the hardest moments are over. It's very hard to see one you love(dogs included) dying. It's better that he has gone rather than enduring more pains/sufferings. I believe every living things maybe except plants have soul:biggrin:. When the sadness is gone, get yourself a new dog. My suggestion is to try to get a Siberian Husky. Though not as big as a German shepherd but it looks wolfy in a cute way:). Or get two instead. Keep well friend, don't be too hard on yourself.

Have you tried uninstalling then reinstalling your video driver? Sounds like a video driver problem to me. try installing from the CD or a fresh download perhaps the old one is corrupted.

CM stick updated to 1.12. Do not unplug CM stick while updating This worries me. What if I happened to have a blackout then another $30.00 to 40.00 for a new CM stick. Can we download the software first to our desktop(PC) instead? and instal it to the dongle later. I'm on dial-up sometimes I get disconnected not often but it happens...
