  1. well, that all depends on if the original orthographic drawing you based your line drawings off is good i suppose.
  2. there'll be no sabre rattlin on these here forums, i gwuaranteeh.
  3. hum, what do you use for reference in drawing your drawings.
  4. photographs invariably add perspective, which yes, distorts the image. to make it worse, each camera distorts the image in its own way. i need orthographic drawings.
  5. chally 1 with uparmour package. i'll get to modeling this one in maybe 1/2 a year to a year. dont get too excited though. even with a finished model, its still going to be years before theres time to add new vehicles. and then theres at least 14 other vehicles thats been waiting to be implemented since 2003-04, along with a playable T-72. i tried using the drawings in the osprey challenger 1 book, and they sucked donkey balls. not accurate worth shit. none of the lines fitted, and i had to average every single angle between the pictures, and scale the pictures according to real life measures. additionally, the gun tube was about 12cm too high, so it was clipping through the top metal sheet above the gun. i bought a plastic model of the chally, which i'll do some 3d adjusting to according to some websites, basically using its measures to create a 3d model. although i'm more inclined towards dragging my laptop along on a summer trip to bovington and spend a week with a chally1 in the museum, taking measures and pictures. and if one gets implemented, expect to see it as AI for quite a while.
  6. fowl - foul grate sight - great site of - have excepted - accepted
  7. from what i recall, the mod wanted to use SB for training, but as they didn't want to pass on the specs for the challenger 2, nothing ended up happending.
  8. you forgot a few others, the max and minimum FOV of the daysight and thermal.
  9. afaik theres 2 types, dorchester and chobham. chobham was given to the US army, and they modified it with DU. dorchester is improved chobham, and we know less about that. actually, all we know is that its "better".
  10. eh, nah too many "other" military contracts to work on currently. besides, i work faster when watching something interesting.

  12. KT, there's something you should know, when you write "Deja is working on a challenger 2, but he's not going to finish it in a long time" the person who reads it is only going to read the first part, and dance around the room in delirium, tell all his friends the fantastic news, then come back to read the second part, by which time everyone thinks that the challenger 2 was implemented 2 years ago, is already fully modeled, and little green gnomes work for esim games.
  13. theres other programs for working with stills, such as imagemodeler, photomodeler, etc.
  14. Le clerc translates to "the cleric" leclerc on the other hand is a name.
  15. from what i recall, the merkava performed exceptionally well, considering the volume of fire each tank was under.
