In anticipation of the the upcoming release how many of you are furiously reorienting yourself with the Sim? I know I am, man the fingers have slowed but I can still slew the old turret and hit a T-72 at 1200m while at a 30 kph cruise. I can't say the same about running the old T-72M1. As I play through the many scenarios I have created I am reminded how good this Sim looks. Absent the cookie cutter buildings, strange roads and outdated water features the Sim still looks remarkable. Especially rural landscapes with pine forests. I tended to cater my scenarios in these settings. The gear is still well modeled and modded. I almost always create scenarios from the early 80's. I can't imagine how much better the Sim will look after the update. I won't get into the modding just yet but that won't take long. maybe I won't have too.

Eisenschwein, I have hand it to you for your persistance. From what I have gathered over the years, is you really want a Leopard 1A-5. A man with an awesome stache should have one, yes indeed.

Cost benefit analysis? Budgets? You must live on another planet. There is no budget and hasn't been one for 3 years. We borrow 40 cents of every dollar we spend in the US. Even if there was a budget, it sure as hell wouldn't be balanced.

I know, I know, I see you have lots of activity there as well. I have been doing mods for myself for years for CM. I finally went public with some Black Bull and I Corps units. I also hoard some 3 Color CARC M1 variants for Shockforce. Mainly I am immersed in PBEM games right now.

Soon to be in the library the Australian M113AS4. Much of the original texture has been redone, with the usual bolts, harware and glass. The texture was expanded and repainted. There will be two versions, one with the bolt on side applique and one without. I will likely be lurking until the next major update, so this will be it for now. Too much Combat Mission out there. Place the decal files in the same folder as the vehicle skin, not the TIS folder. Example, if you place the m1.dds into your mods/textures/woodland folder you should also place the M1abrams_decals.dds into that same folder.Empty out your modes/textures/tis folder as you con't want any decals in there.

With the side applique added, designed to stop 14.5 mm.
