  1. Interesting scenario, and good videos. Thanks for sharing. Zone recon can be pretty scary at times. You never know what you're going to run into.
  2. "You wasted alot of lives with that f**cked up fire mission of yours!"
  3. Looking good! I caca dau VC!
  4. The real money is in the mil-contracts, but I still believe, with some tweaking and adjusting, that this game would do very well on the commercial market. I truly hope that with the changes in the company, we (the little non-mil contractors!) can get some love (more frequently).
  5. Strong points - It plays well for the Squad and Fireteam levels. Anything above that..even platoon level operations are cumbersome. Whomever can make a decent combined arms Platoon and Company level game will be the real winner. I think Wargame: European Escalation comes very close, but their SP AI fails miserably.
  6. Same here, but the game engine is roughly 10 years old and isn't optimized. Even on a high end PC it still runs choppy and looks rough.
  7. Just need some civilians giving you dirty looks as you drive your tank down the MSR
  8. The ironic (and sad) part is that it was probably written by: A - Someone living IN Canada B - Someone who has very little grasp on Islam.
  9. Civilians? Can we get a working infantry model first? Formations, movement techniques? Hell, at this point, I'd just like the infantry to move more than 100m without stopping to go prone for a break. You can't model civilians, irregulars, or other forces as part of full spectrum operations and strictly limit friendly forces to mounted maneuver only. It needs to be combined arms.
  10. Is there any way to get the dismounts to just move without stopping and going prone every 100-or so meters? Thanks
  11. Oh my god! This is the best description of BF3 I've ever heard!
  12. Got it 'working' thanks to Gibson.. Not sure if it was 'broke' to begin with. As suggested, it might've been a problem on the other guy's end, because in the end I didnt change anything.
  13. He plays regularly. Just tried it with one person..
  14. Alright - I got the HOST portion to work by keeping the '2300' in the port... For some reason I thought this was an old SBPro adage of removing the port numbers. Is that just for joining games?
  15. Good question...I'll have to ask the other guy. also - I tried disabling the windows firewall and DMZ and still no dice.
  16. Got a new rig and conducted a full install up to 2.64 Updated my Codemeter firmware and software to runtime 4.5 Whenever I try to join an IP session the game freezes up. Whenever I host a session and select a mission it freezes up. EDIT - My port forwarding is straight - I have the correct ports open with my correct IPv4 address. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

It's not like you're using it to make money. I honestly don't see the harm in it, and seriously doubt EA would 'come down' on you
  18. As anyone with time at NTC knows, it is totally normal to be swallowed by the desert in the box.
  19. I'm not sure I believe that. And if thats the case, then ED has a long way to go. I think there is serious interest in a game that can offer a true combined arms simulation, and I hope that ED can do it with CA. As I posted above, they have some issues they need to work through.
  20. I picked up my copy of Combined Arms (beta) today. After giving it about two hours worth of testing I'm giving it a big thumbs down. Graphically, it's not TOO bad, but not too good either. The vehicle models look decent, buildings look terrible, troops look terrible (and have terrible animations). The terrain is good at like 5,000 AG, but on the ground level it looks horrible. Command and control of vehicles is difficult; Apparently there's no 'follow' command for the AI. You can manually set waypoints on the map screen that the AI will follow in game, but you can have your tank platoon follow you in game without setting a map waypoint. None of the vehicles have firing control systems, and they all have a funky aiming recitule, so you're basically just firing through a degraded system. It's weird, and I haven't been able to kill a single thing yet (except with artillery) 3rd person view of vehicles is too close, and you cant really see anything in front of you because of the amount of smoke that your vehicle is producing. I do really like the command map; It's colorful and easy to navigate through. I'll keep my eye on the game, but I'm not going to touch this again until it's a full release. I'm new to the DCS franchise, but it seems like they care about feedback that their players give, so hopefully in the end it'll be a good product.
