Just spoke with my father who is in northern Virginia, near where Sandy is making landfall right now. He said it's not so bad where he's at, but he's sure that some areas near the water are under a couple feet.

Sandy has been a little disappointing for this hurricane veteran. The way they hyped it in the news around here you would've thought it was the storm of the century. "Frankenstorm" they called it. Try clicking on the speaker/volume icon in the Windows system tray. There should be a link at the bottom of the volume control that says "mixer". Click on that. It will allow you to adjust SB and TS sounds in relation to each other.
