In several tests conducted in front of Indian delegation using latest foreign ammunitions (APFSDS) of the M829A2/KEW-A2 type conducted from 250 meters against T-90S devoid of the normal built-in explosive reactive armor (ERA) Kontakt-5 (K-5) resulted in the turret being completely impenetrable. This absolute resiliency to enemy fire resulted at the end, as one of the most crucial selling point for T-90 Bhishma MBT to India

They fire a KE Round at 250 (!) Meters?

    Find the Error?!

  2. 3 Lessons learned:

    - Never burst 60 Rounds to the Air before start fighting

    - Never store your Gun in the Refrigerator before you start your Battle

    - Never say your Rifle is a good one, until your Ministry of Defense say the same

You get what you pay for!

  3. Oldest brewery in America

Oh Yuengling, or better Jüngling, from Württemberg GE.

Still a lost to German Brewers...

Had the Chance to have some a few Years ago in MI. Thumbs up!

There is no things like reloading autoloader's carousel. You can drink some tea when other guy (this mr muscle who is under your command and hes reloading it) will never need to go to gym anymore. And even more funny is getting ducked (killed like a duck) while doing it ;)

No One force you not to get some of the realistic reloading of a T 72 on your own ?!

Open your Window for 4 h before you start SB, put a Peace of 18 ~ 20 Kg Metal in your Refrigerator for the same Time. Knee down under your Desk and pull the Peace of Metal up to your desktop and down again and again, while the AI is reloading your T 72.

For more realistic Atmosphere you can heat some hydraulic Oil or Diesel on a little Stove...... ;-=

  5. That is the modern Version of AGPT from Wegmann.

Not that much Eye Candy, but good enough to learn the Basics.

To load with the "flat" Hand is a old German style Technic. That should prevent that your Hand goes in the Breech with a Side Breech Block.

Unfortunately Leo 2´s have a falling Block Breech.......

  6. I think Google will help to search for sPzAbtl 504 in Africa.

Here is the AAR from sPzAbtl 504 from that Period:

    http://books.google.de/books?id=qTi6u9MvEC0C&pg=PA319&lpg=PA319&dq=schwere+Panzerabteilung+504&source=bl&ots=-76NC0tNpl&sig=3DAjC8YTU5wP1xb_6WkavMrckVw&hl=de&sa=X&ei=BL5sVJmQJ8fBPJL9gdAK&ved=0CCwQ6AEwAjgK#v=onepage&q=schwere%20Panzerabteilung%20504&f=false

Just imagine, sPzAbtl 504 was formed in Feb. 1943, 2 Month before they go to Africa, with a complete new Tank.

If more Information are needed, here I am. Btw the Brother of my Grandpa served with 504 (but not as Tiger Crew, he was Gunner on a PzKfwg III) in Africa and came back after POW 1951.

  7. From Wiki:

On 21 April 1943, the tank was knocked out and captured on a hill called Djebel Djaffa during the preliminary phases of the Battle of Longstop Hill which opened the way to the capture of Tunis. During the battle, Tiger 131 was hit by three shots from 6-pounders from British Churchill tanks of A Squadron, 4 Troop of the 48th Royal Tank Regiment. A solid shot hit the Tiger's gun barrel and ricocheted into its turret ring, jamming its traverse, wounding the driver and front gunner and destroying the radio. A second shot hit the turret lifting lug, disabling the gun's elevation device. A third shot hit the loader's hatch, deflecting fragments into the turret. The German crew bailed out, taking their wounded with them and leaving the knocked-out but still driveable and largely intact tank behind.[2] Their identity and fate are unknown. The tank was secured by the British as they captured Djebel Djaffa hill.[3] Tiger 131 was the first intact Tiger tank captured by British or American forces.

A 2012 book by Noel Botham and Bruce Montague stated that Major Douglas Lidderdale, the engineering officer who oversaw the return of Tiger 131 to England, was responsible for the capture of Tiger 131 as the leader of a secret mission appointed by Winston Churchill to obtain a Tiger for allied intelligence.[4] The story has been told in brief in a 2012 article in the Daily Mail newspaper prior to the book's publication.

Though the account has been considered plausible (if only in light of Churchill's reputation for being 'hands on' in his dealings with military affairs during wartime) it has been rejected by the Bovington Tank Museum as inaccurate. The story as told in the book contradicts Lidderdale's own letters and papers written in the years before his death, in which he stated that he was not personally present when the Tiger was captured.[5]

  8. As said....

    LOL, Hollywood.

And I guess at the End this Firefly shoot the Tiger in the Back, LOL !

Don´t forget: All Germans are ugly, bad and stupid. All they can do is eating Sauerkraut and Bratwurst the whole day...

    P.S.: And drink Beer... ! ;-=

  9. Part 2:

First of all you must know, Bundeswehr in that Period use 2 OOB Models. V-StAN and F-StAN.

    ( V=Verteidigung= War and F=Frieden= Peace Times)

In the Pic above you can see the Man strength of the Units, here V-StAN

    V 2/18/43/63 means: 2 Officers/18 NCO/43 Enlisted all in all 63 Man.

The so called "Einser" Bataillone, Battalions that Number ends with a One (your Example Panzerbataillon 211) have a F-StAN without the 1st Company and the other Companys where attached to the other Battalions of the Brigade.

For Example in Peace Times (F-StAN): 3rd Company PzBtl 211 was attached to PzBtl 213, 4th Company PzBtl 211 to PzBtl 214.

The OOB and Mixture of Tank and APC Types of this "Einser Bataillone" depends on what Type of Brigade they are attached to.

In a mechanized Infantry Brigade (Panzergrenadierbrigade) they have 2 mech. Infantry Companys and 1 Tank Company. Mostly the 2nd and 3rd Companys are mech. Infantry and the 4th is a Tank Company.

Example: 2nd and 3rd Co. PzGrenBtl 71 are mech. Infantry with Marder and the 4th Company is a Tank Co. with Leop 1.

In a Tank Brigade it´s the other Way round, 2nd Co. is a mech Infantry and 3rd and 4th are Tank Companys. So PzBtl 211 have 1 mech. Inf. and 2 Tank Companys.

The Tank Companys in a Tank Brigade are equipped with Leop 2A4, the Tank Company in the mech. Inf. Brigade are equipped with Leop 1 (mostly).

So you have to know what Type of Brigade is it I try to simulate...

    here is a Link:

(I always start too cry like a 6 year old Girl when I take a look at it)

You will notice that all "Einser Bataillone" have a small Triangle down right in their tactical Sign, that means" Not fully equipped and manned", that`s the missing 1st Company.

Some of this Type Battalions are also not fully equipped with Tanks or APC´s.

Hopefully I can help you out and it´s interesting for the Others.
