  1. It was through Falcon4.0 then to Frugal's Forums then to DCS years later that reminded me about Steelbeasts that I had read about in Frugals that I came here now that I have retired

Phew that was hard work ;)

Not so keen on the Ka50 and never really got into LoMac as at the time it came out I was much too busy at work, I got Flaming Cliffs but it never ran properly on my last PC, so I hoped for an update which is here at last.

While putting and sorting stuff out for my home cinema room I came across Armourd Fist 3, boy is it dated looking now compared with SBProPE :) Was surprised that it ran fine on Windows 7 64!

  2. Ik ben een inwoner, Ik ben een Schot! Ik woon in Hechtel-Eksel, mijn vrouw is een Vlaaming van Limburg

and there I run out of Vlaams. lol

I've had SB for a few months and just got my 13yo. lad intrested in it, he is Belgian with very good english and has been pushing me to get SB set up so we can both use it together and so bought a second licence for it, but have not tried it online yet with a wider audience.

  3. I think I will join in on the next euro online meeting! Is the counter on the main page to indicate when these meetings are going down?

I am in GMT+1 timezone territory.

Hi Yskonyn I'm just across the border in Belgium, my son and I are getting to grips with SB ProPE and would lke to try it online. The TGIF is a little to late in the day for us so something at a more "european" time would suit us better.

  4. 1, 2, 3: OK

    4: nope

5: Dutch, French - but who would be waiting for this ?

And main problem: free time - work once or twice a week on a scenario, won't be enough, no ?

But we could try of course.

    Rgds,

    Koen

Dutch would be good in this household as it is the language spoken here. We live not far from the tank ranges at Leopoldsburg, infact about halfway between the ranges and the F16 airbase at Kline Brogel

  5. Thanks, I think that got it, tho I had turned off the speed stepping on Vic's laptop it was on my desktop that needed the speedstep switched off in both the bios and in windows power settings.

    PS. he loves the sim:cvcsalut:

  6. We are in the same house on the same router.

and have tried as you suggest, I had put in the port forwarding to play over the internet so I tried it with the port forwarding disabled and with the SPI both enabled and disabled still with the same results. I don't have any problems streaming audio / video over the home network from the WHS box to any of the media recievers in the house either wired or via WiFi, while trying Steelbeasts I had the home server switched off to make sure it wasn't traffic from it that was slowing down the lan.

  7. Over the weekend I bought a second licence for ProPE 2.483 for my son as he wants to play along with me. I managed to set up the Codemeter without any problems and have the router set up to forward the ports to my PC on the LAN. So far, so good! Vic can connect with his laptop either via WiFi or by wired connection to the LAN, my PC is wired to the LAN but after about 5 to 6 minutes of play Vic gets a session dropped message and he ends back at the AAR screen, same thing happens if he acts as host only this time it is me that gets dropped back to the AAR.

Vic is running a laptop with Vista Home Premium on an Intel core duo @2GHz with 4Gb RAM.

    I'm running Win 7 64 on an i7 965 @3.4GHz with 6Gb RAM.

Router is a DLink DIR-855 and we are both using a 1Gb/s wired connection.

I have tried turning off any speed stepping on the CPUs and also the Statefull Packet Inspection on the router and it makes no diffrence.

  8. Rump my son was trying to persuade me at the weekend that a buggy looking not a lot diffrent than that would be a good idea, and they are road legal over here in Belgium

    hmmm...
