  3. Here in Limburg there is so much light pollution that you can practically see in colour at night! Recently they have started turning off the motorway lights at about 2am to save a little money but it is still bright here and I live on the edge of town.
  4. SB Pro PE has been well worth the investment. Was going to say more but that is what it boils down to, I am really looking forward to the next instalment of ProPE.
  5. I wasn't in the military but I still used NVGs and thermal imaging in the early 90s, as the 2000s rolled around the CCTV cameras we had then were better than some of those early NVGs and SIT cameras we had to use back in the day.
  6. Don't know about in the US but here PS3/console games are in the $90-$100 region so getting not too far from the cost of SB Pro PE.Games are classed as a luxury item as are a lot of electronic equipment so there is a higher level tax on them, one of the reasons we go to either Holland or Germany to purchase items.
  7. yes but they need "some" light to work with, certainly they don't work in my cellar with the lights out and the door shut, lucky I have an IR illuminator that works with mine to light the way to the Thomas Crapper. Apart from that I can't remember the last time I put batteries in it. Here even Lidl sells them
  8. Thanks for the recap, I must have missed it, but great news all the same.
  9. Thanks jazjar Along with this wind and temp/pressure are we going to get surround sound so we can better use listening for the movement of vehicles?
  10. Troll Hunter is a good film from Norway, quite a good tourist video too, as some of the locations are superb.
  11. He has lost a lot of weight since that picture, now he is just master and commander The ship is about 335m long (1100ft) View from my cabin when I was onboard Wife at ease
  12. Sextant? here you go Me getting instructed on how to use one by the Master of a large containership
  13. We had problems with thermal Imaging Systems on vehicles we were designing for middle eastern countries back in the early 90s, we could not get them to go cold enough for long enough.
  14. Well the LNOT poll is now moot, SB Pro PE 3.0 will be ready when it is ready. I'm patient and would rather a working program than a bug hunt seeing as this is SteelBeasts and not Starship Troopers.
  15. I get a domain for sale notice come up when going there
  16. almost got a look inside my dongle a while ago when the grandson fell against it while it was in the PC, lucky both survived but the dongle had to be straightend more than the grandson
  17. Don't know if you are reffering to me, but here is some released art work on the carrier that featured in the promo video.http://robertsspaceindustries.com/bengal-carrier-wip/

  19. Always fancied a CanAm Bombadier as an off road motorbike nearly bought one too about 10 years ago, the guy could not get it to start so I passed on it, he did have a few he had bought from surplus sales, it even still had a holster for a SA80 on it
  20. Between Nils here at eSim and Sandi at CIG they are the two best customer services I have had the pleasure dealing with. They should be an example to other companies on how to satisfy their customers, one large software distributer who shall reamain nameless will not be getting any further business from me. I think the diffrence is that both Nils and Sandi have an intrest in their products and thier companies to do well. I'm looking forward to Games Con in Koln this summer when I can get a chance to shake Sandi's hand. Anyone else from here going to Games Con in August?
  21. Thought it would be you that would reply Mark, my younger brother was left handed too, so it was always a qestion we asked as a family "could Derek use it" Trying to find left handed devices in the early '60s was very frustrating.
  22. Does it come in lefthand drive?
