  1. 12Alfa, I got your PM, but it appears that your mailbox might be full as I can't reply to it. Can you empty it out or drop me your e-mail? thanks
  2. One last bump for offers, was looking at around $65 or so. I have a pic of the software also that I can send.
  3. I hate to do it, but I have to let my copy go. The game is everything I expected it to be and more, but I thought some family members would get it as well but they didn't. SP is cool, but not enough for me. So if there's anyone out there still on the fence let me know, I'm willing to ship it out for a good price. It's SB Pro PE and comes with everything. I can take a pic as well if anyone is serious about buying. If not, no biggie it's still a good game to have in the collection.
  4. Better route finding by the AI. The AI will plow into trees for too long before realizing all that's needed is a 7 foot adjustment in order to get on a clear path. Also witnessed a tank attempt to pass through a deep river with large embankments once the bridge it was suppose to cross became blocked. Needless to say the tank destroyed itself. In that situation the AI needs to hold position until further orders or find another route.
  5. Disclaimer: I'm very new to Steel Beasts, so maybe with more time my following opinion will change. With that said though in the scenarios I have played thus far I think unscripted AI is going to be a huge wish of mine. Or at least more dynamic and adapting AI. For a game that's mainly built for SP, for us civvies at least, the AI is really going to be a fundamental and crucial aspect of the game. I played a few scenarios in which I was able to gun enemy troops from a Leo without them moving or responding at all. They all layed there in perfect formation despite the impending consequences. I assume I can chalk that up to the scenario designer for not inserting the proper conditions for that particular unit. But, it'd really be awesome if despite the given presets (or lack of) that the AI could realize it's in a no-win situation and at least have fallen back to the woodline that was directly behind them. Just one example. But, again just my opinion that AI would top my wish list. Even if we agree that the AI is outstanding, however for this type of game it's always important to continue to upgrade and make improvements to it where applicable. Improved AI can have a larger impact on the game than new scenarios or tanks. One mans opinion.
  6. Well I guess it is a good favor but we're basically giving our savings right back then.
  7. Just curious, but is the version that the UK MOD put out the latest version of VBS?
  8. jeesh.. Now I feel more like a convicted felon than an honest & loyal customer.
  9. I've played Combat Mission SF Marines & British, TacOps, Conquest of The Aegean, Air Assault Task Force, Battle Group Commander Episode One, Decisive Action (still haven't figured out how to play that one yet), among a few other hardcore strategy titles, & I cannot disagree with the great assessment put forth by RS. AP is definitely a fresh new take on the RTS genre and I'm sure many other devs will try to copy what they've accomplished with this title. It's definitely the most challenging strategy game that I have, right up there with TacOps infact, but I must say that AP is more enjoyable to play sense it's a 3D model RTS. Great game, I just wish the encylopedia was setup a little better.
  10. Just initially, or does it always have to be that way in order for the 2nd license to work?
  11. Now that I understand how the updates work that all makes perfect sense and I agree with your approach. Also, I'm going to purchase SB within the next couple days and would like to clarify that with the additional license purchase (for $150 total) two users can have full access to the game on different computers? thanks
  12. Ah ok. So how often do these upgrades come out? I wouldn't want to spend all that money then be left5 in the dark for mp because I'm out of date shortly after purchase...
  13. I think e-sim should be marketing these "upgrades" as expansion packs, that way it doesn't seem so absurd to spend $25 on a patch. No company charges for patches, but creating and charging for expansions is very common. But, then the question becomes what all is included in these upgrades? Is it enough to warrant the cost and the title of an expansion pack?
  14. Interesting, VBS2 looks much more realistic and immersive than ArmA 2 is, although I guess it's hard to judge that just by the few pics and videos I've seen of the game. The review says it's not worth the price, which for $500 is very understandable no matter how good it may be. :eek2:
