  1. Hi, I have a question about updating to version 4.363 from version 4.265. The release notes for version 4.363 state that “This Steel Beasts version requires an existing license for SB Pro PE 4.3” and that Upgrade Licenses may be purchased from the eSim Games web store. However, on the store page, I don’t see an option to update from version 4.2 to 4.3. Does this mean I don’t need to purchase an update, or that I need to purchase the update from 4.1 to 4.3? Thanks for your help. Pietro
  2. Nice to know . I'll be looking forward to it as well :remybussi:.
  3. Why do I get a Mission Incomplete message on the tank range even though I hit all targets and get the "Mission Over" message? I just scored 75/100 (83% hit, 14.5sec) and I thought it wasn't too bad for a beginner, but I still get the Mission Incomplete thing. Do I need to score over 80/100?
  4. Mark, I was finally able to test both the EXE and the scripted, custom made version . They both seem to work fine. I haven't been able to test your utility in the heat of the battle as I'm currently going through the tutorials, but I've experienced no adverse collateral effects so far. The erratic behavior I was reporting was due to the safety dead zones you have setup to guard against accidental activation of the scroll feature while accessing the game menus. This only became clear after you sent the readme in the mail. Well done with your scripting, this is a nifty little utility and I'll be definitely be using it.
  5. My bad, I hadn't noticed the resolution part. I've manually changed it in your script and now works nicely left and right, down 90% of the time and top is a hit and miss affair, sometimes needing 4/5 tries to make it budge. PM sent and I'll report back.
  6. @nbringer 17 days to get here in Europe's soft underbelly. It was dispatched the day after my order, so probably got stuck in customs somewhere.
  7. Mark, the wheel zoom works nicely as I had previously reported . However, the scroll feature only works up and to the left on my system, i.e. works when the mouse reaches the top of the screen or the left side of the screen, but it doesn't seem to work right and down. This happens both in map view and in observer view (F8). I'm running the sim full screen at 1680x1050 under Vista X64, using the script version of your post #8.

That's what I thought too. I run Vista SP2, not Win7, but with the SP2 update I also got DX11. I tried to launch SBProPE right after the install, and was surprised to see it run out of the box, no DX9 required at all .
  9. That's just what the doctor ordered! Works like a charm, thank you :luxhello:. Now, since people are never happy and you expressed interest in pushing your scripting with this utility to the next level , how about letting us drag the map by pressing the central mouse button?
  10. Great post! You made me wanna jump right in even though I got the sim only a few days ago. - On my 1st attempt I sank the Humvee trying to ford what looked like a stream, but turned out to be waaay too deep . - On my 2nd attempt I tried to cut through a wood and got my engine disabled  by one of those rocks strewn around the woods. It only looked like a small stone... Had good fun though!
  11. Thanks for your help, end to Sean for your kind e-mail. @Toyguy. I'm thinking abut upgrading to W7 too, looking forward to a report .
  12. Hi all, I’m what you could call a prospective buyer of this sim , however I’m put off by the apparent lack of support for Windows Vista. I say apparent because, even though some players seem to be using Vista (or even Windows 7), the official specs on the SB home page still list Windows 2000/XP SP2 as the latest supported OS . Also, those that are using Vista seem to have had to resort to hacks such as installing DirectX9.0c alongside with DirectX10, or have been complaining about poor FPS with nVidia cards, although those reports seem to be somewhat dated. I’ve tried to do my homework using the search button, but keywords such as Vista or nVidia return hundreds of results, so I was hoping some nice soul :smilelove-1: here could provide me with a quick answer to the question: will this $125 sim run (and run smoothly) on my system? My system specs are as follows: MoBo - Intel DP 454SG Processor - Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 2.83GHz Memory - 4GB Video card - Asus EN GTX 260 879MB /w nVidia 185.85 drivers Sound card - SoundBlaster X-Fi OS - Vista Ultimate x64 Thanks for your patience :clin:.
