Sigh - I'm $125.00 poorer. I made the purchase today so now I'll sit back (or on the edge of my seat) and wait for the product to arrive. After a long time debating, I decided to fork over the money. I thought about buying one of the used copies advertised, but decided to go new for several reasons... I don't like buying from peeps I don't know, although I know that's my phobia. In reading the forums, I have been impressed with the constant responses and attention paid by company representatives. In other words "support" for the game and dedicated gamers. I like supporting this type of company (ie.buying new and direct). I loved SB legacy when it came out and enjoyed many hours with it. At a minimum, SB Pro PE should rekindle that level of enjoyment and i'm looking forward to heightened levels of fulfillment! I have looked a little and found several user made scenarios to download, so I'm looking forward to downloading those. I know it's a non-issue, but I would have purchased this game a year ago for $80.00 or less. I guess I made the leap anyway so something worked on me ...

I may have misunderstood some things on another thread.. Does SB Pro only run in 640x480x256 video mode?

I hope I misunderstand this... DOes this game only play in the 640x480x256 resolution?? I'm looking to buy...

Like many, I've looked at this game for a couple of years and almost bought it. I find it hard to fork over $125.00 for a game. I've read many posts and I know the members of this forum say "do it!" to the decision. My disagreement with the company's decision to price this like it is (i know, long discussions about this on the forum) aside, my question is this; I know minor updates are free and major ones cost (like th 2.5?). Will I regret making the purchase now? In other words, is there any word on when the next major upgrade (need to pay) will come? I know they want to work on 3d infantry, but there's no word on when that will come. I still play the original Steel Beasts on a netbook occasionally because I like the game and it plays well on even that minimal machine!
