  1. Playable Challenger... unfortunately the brits wont be getting SB as they just spent all their £££s bailing out the Irish economy!
  2. Additional question: Can anyone give more specific Team Speak info: TS2 or TS3? Version? Is the address :216.22.24.158 still correct and if so does it require a port? Is it password protected? Does it require registration?
  3. Im looking for some more specific info for Team speak Teamspeak 2 or 3? Version? Specific port required? Password required to join? Any help is much appreciated - I currently use 4 different version of TS2 and TS 3 depending on what games and groups I am playing with and none of them work so far with the supplied connection info (216.22.24.158).
  4. SB just came through the mail, im all installed. I'm now trying to work through some good controller setups. First thing i notice is that sitting in the gunners seat on the range, joystic seems to control my view. Ive got a Track IR 5, is there a way to use it for free look round the tank interiors? (Even if its not the most pracical thing in the world, the level of immersion from track IR is unsurpassed!) Ive got an X52 Pro with throttle and pedals, plus have a programable nostromo pad. Any suggestions or commonly used profiles that I can download/setup that work well and will allow me to take advantage of all the hardware? Is there even much point using a joystick or is it better to rely on mouse where possible for more fine control? Opinions/suggestions much appreciated... hopefully Ill be ready to join in next Fridays battle if you want an easy target !
  5. That is almost exactly how it feels flying a Spit MkIX in WW2 online except for the clatter of AAA fire pinging off the fuselage and the big steaming crater when I didnt pull up fast enough...
  6. Thanks for the answers fellas... order placed
  7. Ive played numerous sims but have yet to find a tank sim that comes close to the mark, so after some reading up on the interweb Ive come to the conclusion that SB seems to be the way to go... But given its hefty price tag I thought I'd ask the experts (you guys) a few questions before I take the plunge. 1) Realistically, how easy is it to pick up? Ive recently failed to master DCS Blackshark (very detailed Helicopter sim) and dont want to blow 125 bucks on something that is so complicated I cant get to grips with it! 2) How active is the multiplayer community? Ive played games like WW2 online for ages and dont get the same buzz from scripted single player missions anymore. I am assuming there are also plenty of co-op scenarios to play? 3) Are their plenty of active squads/servers willing to take on rookies and help with training? 4) Are there many multiplayer and co-op scenarios available or do the same missions get recycled day in day out? How much community input is there into scenario design? 5) Can tanks be multi-crewed? Is this common practise or do most people solo it by continually switching position?
