  1. Take things to the extreme much? Do you expect everything you mentioned to be necessary in a class room environment where a sim would be used? Is there not a purpose in having TI that is more realistic in a sim that is used by military personnel? This being training software, would this not help to improve your situational awareness and give you a better glimpse of what it might feel like in the real-world? We are talking about a sim, not real life training with live fire exercises.
  2. I for one am grateful for the strive toward realism. After all, it is a sim.
  3. I get the same thing. The driver will crash and reboot itself. I'm pretty sure it is an Nvidia issue. I'm running an Nvidia GTX 970, and have been having these temporary, short-term crashes for the last couple of drivers. Running 372.54 as well. (2016-Aug-15 release)
  4. Hey, that sudden turret down confused the enemy!
  5. Not that I recall. I have played a few night missions, Rescue Party Phoenix is one off the top of my head that I enjoyed playing at night, in 3.0 and was not restricted to such slow speeds. Perhaps it was meant to be implemented but was not until 4.0?
  6. Hmm, as far as that bus video goes, now all we need is a colorful smart car and clown skins for civilians.
  7. Just want to thank you again for your continued posting of your experiences at the Polish Armed Forces Day!
  8. Just think of it as summoning time limited creatures, this is a great contingency to have for those occasions when your summoned demon escapes and starts causing havoc in your summoning room. Not that I have experience with my demons escaping... nope. *whistles innocently*
  9. M1A2 SEPv2 <<< Damien's fault for posting his experience in one.
  10. I am not sure, that is why I did not post it in the bug report and instead created this new thread. Also, as I said, max speed on pavement with a single unit is still about 13 kph no matter what speed you set it at (5kph off road). As the driver however, one is not restricted. Also, I could understand slower speeds at each level, but they all return the same speed.
  11. ooo, this may mean we will get the Armata series of vehicles implemented in SB Pro PE sooner rather than later. Nicely modeled.
  12. So unfortunate, my condolences to the family and team. It is always so sad when we lose such wonderful and giving people so early in life.
  13. This applies to all Leopard 2A5 and A6 variants that are not up-armored on the turret roof. (excludes 2E and Strv 122) The commander's forward periscope seems to have a height issue when peering through.
  14. For the crawl speed at night as well? Anyway, my apologies on reporting a known bug, I forgot where to look for the bug list.
  15. A couple of things for night missions. Crawl speed for vehicles. 5 kph-ish off road, 13 kph-ish on, no matter the formation or if single unit, nor speed setting, unless one jumps into the driver's position, but then the rest of the formation will not keep up. Not sure if it is worth correcting any time soon but, interior crew members are in shadow (buttoned and unbuttoned tested in various vehicles). (F11 crew is in the dark anyway, so that doesn't matter.) Intel i7-4770K 3.50 GHz 16.0 GB memory Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 Windows 10 x64 Max Graphics
  16. As far as Leopard 2 hull armor storage, I don't see why there couldn't be an upgrade that encased that area in armor with a blow off panel out the side, bottom, or top with a curved blast door that slides around either to the left or behind the driver. I think the blast panel on the side of the hull may be best, sure it may disable the left track, idler and forward road wheels, but crew and the rest of the tank shouldn't be adversely affected. And though this may reduce the amount of stored ammo in the hull, at least it would provide much better crew protection from catastrophic ammo blow off.

  18. Does this mean you will start a BoB VU?
  19. I was looking under the Control Panel > All Control Panel Items > Programs and Features in Window 10. I also have installed: Microsoft Visual C++ 2005, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2013, and 2015 As well as: Microsoft Visual Studio 2015 Tools for Unity Microsoft Visual Studio Community 2015 with Update 2 I assume SB is using the latest MS VS, however, if it is using an earlier version of VS, you may want to look into installing those as well.
  20. Perhaps going to Microsoft's site and downloading the Visual C++ for Visual Studios 2015 will help? Here is the link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145 Otherwise, one may try to find mfc140.dll online, download it, and place it in the appropriate folder.
  21. I too am amazed and flabbergasted! It is like a whole new Beast, forgive the pun. I am currently running a mission and am very distracted by the night sky being warmed by the rising sun. Weather effects are wonderful, and the rain with its pitter patter is awesome. All the countless sound and visual updates, just wow! The IR and night vision equipment, shrapnel, hits, rounds, and on and on! 4.0 is simply amazing! I have to admit, I am very grateful the esims team was able to get this released before summer's end. That, and the new terrain engine may be only half a year or so away! Only thing that seems to be missing now are swaying trees and the sound of wind, which are very minor imo. Now, all we need is the military to start using 3D headgear for their land simulators.
  22. Well, now that you can tow with any vehicle, just hitch up current artillery and tow it. Seriously though, something I wouldn't mind seeing eventually as well, though it may be a bit old-school for implementation in SB. Also, a few minor things, no hurries here: 1. 3D interior of driver's positions in the Bradleys and Abrams. 2. A3 versions of Bradleys 3. Train models. Edit: Hmm, perhaps have relief lines as an overlay one can switch on and off?
  23. rgr, reporting just in case. Do not recall finding anything mentioned, but I may have looked in the wrong places or missed or since forgot them.
