The 65mph limit could refer to the max speed, where you can track(and therefor lead) the target. Remeber, this would be RELATIVE speed at a 90° angle towards the aim line. I don't think flying 90°s to your target is a good option. (don't know realy...but I guess you would make a great target to any AD asset then?) There some good ways allready listed of making the choppers quiete anoying in any scenario, esp. if they pop up in you flank or from higher angles where you'd never look to :-P With the route setting mentioned by Eisen and Volcano you can simulate at least a kind of evasive behaviour. As for flares: no weaponsystem modeled in SB so far would be impressed by them. All the SAM are SACLOS types 8-) But I shall not bubble about that to much...as I know this much about correct AH deployment ;-) . So an actual "rotor-heads" insights are allways wellcome!!

Ref. to "Hilltops": In this respect the TIM(tanks/Leo2) or the dismounts(PCs) are also used to little: Stay behind a hill so can just watch over it with the TIM, or have a team (dug in)on the hill. this way you have eyes on the other side and know WHEN to move up for an ambush. (works even better if your squadies have a UGV at hand!) Well, i.r.l. you could also climb on top of your turret and have the driver go slowly forward till only your head sticks out...SB is limited in that way ;-)

No, not as far as I know. In the outside view you are steering the "camera" not the tank with you control-handle. To steer the tank, like mogwa said, you have to use the keyboard...

Maybe you could use f.e. Leo1 or Centauro's with a propper ammo loadout as placeholder for the guns (just remove TIS and FCS). This way they a better suited for the emergency direct fire role :-)

Well, in SB you have 2 Options: 1. hit the tree a decent speeds...you hear a "tree cracking/falling sound" and the tree is gone. 2. hit the tree a little faster...same sound but you'll shake up your crew=> results in cmr/gunner/loader and or driver damage

Well, I take every new tank in the sim as in comes along... And I still take it as set that e-sim includes models in hope to sell X000€/$ contracts, rather then 125$ licenses. Convince the Czech MoD to buy SB pro...and of we go :-P
