Knew a guy who's unit's helicopters played this when doing operations. If you like marches, Hitoshi Sakimoto is great at composing them lol. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5yw9zs6CBNo

What are your favorite evolutionary "dead ends" in tank design?
Invader ZIM replied to Maj.Hans's topic in Ground Zero
Correction, a 152mm gun launcher, I don't care if it launches guns accurately, I like it anyways lol. -
Didn't we have Bradley ADF vehicles in the past decade? They were called Bradley Linebacker. http://www.army-technology.com/projects/linebacker/ Great writeups and info by the way, I enjoy reading your articles Damian.

That video was epic lol.

I use the AN/PAS-29A, it's a clip on thermal you can put on your night vision goggles to get the same fusion effect as the PSQ-20's. They've been around for about 8 years. It can spot a man at 300 meters easily under some very dark conditions, vehicles under much longer ranges. My unit runs about 5 hours on 1 CR123 battery. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ig8q6OWrMlY The UK has a similar version as well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cRETwaTIpTc

I'm guessing RedWardancer is talking about upgrading the dismounts to use the NLAW Storm anti tank weapon, hoping they would fire it under Zero Dark Thirty conditions. Since the Javelin comes with a thermal imager for night fighting, he wants a small anti tank weapon to use at night. I'm guessing the individual sight for the weapon has to be night vision capable for them to use it in the sim this way.

9 years with the sim now, and like munckmb said there's something new to learn and discover every time I play it. Completely worth the price of admission many times over.

Welcome aboard!! Impressive real life experience along with some of the other tread heads here.

The third video above is misidentified as a Kornet, but it's actually from an export TOW system, the Kornet has an unusual spinning flare.
-
Thanks for the info Gibsonm, yea the unit comes with a Pelican case, and it's Military spec as far as battlefield optics goes, just wondered. Good advice by the way.
-
Gibsonm, do you guys ever get to use the small hand held thermal imagers when unbuttoned like the AN/PAS-23 and other's? They are essentially 1x unity magnification, but with a 30 degree or more FOV and can scan a large area quickly, at least to where you might notice things out of place or have the larger optics of the vehicle more quickly hone in to make better identification. This is the unit I own, video of it outside of a car driving, the unit has been around for 10 years or so now. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h1aYjBAHToU Conditions were humid, and wet after a rain, in Hawaii.

This, until we look inside the BTR will the quantum superposition end and reality collapses into one of the possibilites.

Where's the strangest place you have seen a AFV.

Sometimes we can see M1's getting hauled off to who knows where in various ways. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FUINGLVF-LM Sometimes it's neat to see the trains carrying a lot of armor to various parts of the U.S. usually for exercises, etc. -
As stated above, the Iraqi's did put up a fight and they did have an impressive IADS network. Here's an F-16 pilot that ended up dodging 6 SAM's in 5 minutes, excuse his language, action starts 3 minutes in. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qUjX1RntqVw

This is footage from Feb 25,28 1991 of 3AD Apaches 2/227th Aviation during Desert Storm, interesting footage through the sensors of the Apache's as they fly out to their targets at low altitude. You can actually see the Iraqi armor firing on U.S. forces from the perspective of the Apache's. https://vimeo.com/4593872
