  1. I don't see the Map tab in the map editor. Edit: But after some more very deliberate clicking, I was able to activate annotations and edit/delete them!
  2. This method wasn't working for me last night but will try it, and the Refresh Map way. Thanks Bond'.
  3. Is it possible to delete old annotations on a map?
  4. I lucked out that I was able to build two new computers just before prices sky-rocketed and supply became scarce; from Best Buy of all places (I got an MSI 1660 Super in Nov ‘20 for $265). I’d gladly recommend parts but as others have suggested, it’s just better to wait for prices to come down. However, if you are not building and instead ordering an assembled PC, some may be priced competitively enough. For instance, the latest GPUs are going for around $1000. Now I have seen articles/ads where computers are being sold with these GPUs for not much more than $1000...for the entire computer! I have not checked those out myself but you may want to.
  5. For a tank sim we have some very fine helicopter 3D models.
  6. Ah, good to be home again. Thanks Sean.
  7. This blue and white forum design is nice but I do miss the previous style. I thought this was temporary for maintenance. Just curious.
  8. I've immersed myself in just a handful of maps and all of them, if I'm not mistaken, were created by DarkAngel. So I thank him. One map was the original Fulda map, the other another Fulda map shifted west which a version included forests, water ways, roads and buildings. Falli had a version of the original Fulda map which was a faithful recreation of the actual location and the late Eisenschwein did a realistic version of the Hunfeld area. I thank these fellows for their amazing work too. I've been chipping away at the Suwalki map which was provided by DarkAngel as well. So thanks again to him.
  9. A few years ago I would've voted "Creating maps...". It's a meticulous job, so to break up the monotony I would make quick scenarios on areas of a map I've just worked on. Sadly, map-editing has fallen by the wayside due to time constraints. However, I find myself more and more firing up those quick scenarios to study and admire my map work and to polish up on my scenario creation. Thus I voted "Sandboxing".
  10. I got Spearhead by Adam Makos and couldn't put it down until I finished it. Revolved around a Pershing crew in WW2 (same crew that dueled with a Panther in Cologne).
  11. Hi guys. So I wanted to help investigate the performance drop some users are experiencing by using the 4.0 benchmark scenario. There is a 4.0 to 4.1 version of that scenario which I've downloaded but I am unable to open this .rar file with 7-zip (which I don't recall downloading so I'm assuming it came with Win10). I don't want to download third party stuff if I can get away with it, so before I did I thought I'd ask here if 7-zip can actually extract the 4.1 benchmark .rar file (Google says it should). BTW, I'm not seeing any performance hits so far, and I've actually cranked up the graphics settings in 1080p. What I have seen are some nice particle effects from arty and mine-clearing. Are mushroom vehicle explosions new? These look neat too!
  12. This was a treat. I love the pre-ODS Bradleys. Thanks for sharing Red'.
  13. Thanks, TS'. I'll check it out...
  14. Nice video. Love that Apache model. What skin is being used on the M1 (@1:00)? Nice map too, btw. I mean, the foliage and terrain is being shown to good effect in these latest vids.
