  1. Well, that’s the point in fact: In order to make some “realistic” SB scenario’s, I could use such battle reports, esp. as my own military experience is rather limited and, most importantly in peacetime... To give an example: The attached picture summarizes an attack spread out over three hours by some 40 tanks, with disastrous results for the attacker. I’d like to learn more about this: How it happened, did the attack happen piecemeal (or not !), when & where was the first attempt broken off, was a 2nd attempt done via the same approach-route, ... ? Our SB-soldiers are just 🤖 robots. I need some inspiration to bring some soul in them. Books being expensive, hence my question for advice.
  2. Where could one find detailed battle reports on platoon/company-level of real battles? Detailed: meaning minute-by-minute/hour-by-hour. No preference for the time period, 20st century. Online or books. Thx for giving me some advice: there are so much books out there, that I want to be sure to get what I’m looking for, before spending money ... (nb I scrolled through the books thread)
  3. M1TP2 Then hoping for M1TP3 while reading the M1TP1-manual a lot Then Steel Beasts !
  4. Thank you, Jartsev ! 😊
  5. I still have these on my computer, see screenshot. 1. Are they replaced by the SBMapPackageInstaller ? 2. Are they replaced by the SB Pro Map Package Transfer Manager v.31 ? 3. Do I keep them or do I uninstall them ? thx !
  6. SB is still good and has quite advanced since 2013 I’m playing it almost not anymore, no time etc ... But you will have some good time with it. Welcome back (again) !
  7. Real men don’t make back-ups. They just cry.

Battle of Midway: any advice pls on a PC- or boardgame to “play” this? Thx!
  14. Questions from Ssnake (okay, not sure if he wanted this to be answered literally): 1. Who of you can claim with confidence to having mastered more than three different fire control system families? How long did it take you? => No, I don’t. Playing often in F8 or from the map 2. Do you know the difference between a Retreat route and a Retreat condition? => Yes 3. Is Steel Beasts a computer game among many for you, or is it a hobby of its own? => The latter 4. What are the things that you personally are struggling with? => I miss a bit well developed SP scenario’s, e.g. with a non-static but dynamic RED AI-opponent. E.g. scenario’s as the ones of PanzerLeader. I also miss scenario’s using/showcasing the additions to SB since the various last updates. 5. I would like you to observe yourself for a while playing Steel Beasts, trying to identify the "blind spots" you have developed over time towards things that you don't know exactly how to make work, so you "fudge around" them, and to report them here. => see nr 1: fudging around via F8 & mapview - and yet still enjoying SB a lot by playing it as such. 6. All in all: personally I don’t need more complexity in SB (underused anyway), esp. not in the form of many more vehicles. Gameplay-changers still welcome. Even better visuals, more varied cities. Trains & deer & cows & butterflies Interactive tutorials: good idea !
  15. The variable intro-screens. Neat !
  16. SB works really great for this.
