Dear Ssnake,
Thirteen months ago today, you told me to ask again in thirteen months about introducing modern, crewable American vehicles to SB.
I'm asking again.
Thanks.

We're almost to America's mini announcement.

You'll get best results from the mouse, and by a good margin.

Noted. On or about the 8th.

I love the T-72. It's awesome because it's an important tank, regardless of its (rather poor) merits.

On the 8th we're due a limited announcement about the inclusion (or non-inclusion) of modern, crewable, American vehicles.

Almost.

Nevermind the latest M1A2s, I'd be thrilled with just an M1A1SA and new stabilized 50 cal.

Very excited! Current crewable American vehicles entered service during a millennium in which, for much of the time, educated people thought the world was flat and witchcraft was a real problem.
I'm prepared for disappointment, but ever hopeful e-Sim graces us with modernity.

Not before about six weeks prior to the next big upgrade. So please come back to me about this in about thirteen months from today.
The count down begins. Looking forward to an announcement on March 8 2013 about the possible inclusion of modern, crewable, American vehicles in SB.

Speaking of Soviet night fighting, will the new graphics engine give the T-72/80 active IR? Crappy as it is (the real tank), I love the inclusion of the T-72, and would like to see it get a little additional love.

I'm assuming the new engine means accurate interior lighting/shadows at night?

It looks to me like GDLS is committed to a diesel engine for the Abrams. Just out of curiosity, do the Germans run JP8 through their diesels?

Very clean.

The M1A2 SEPv2 has improved armor over the M1A1(HA).

Use the mouse.

About the SB SEP: It doesn't have the FBCB2/DAGR transceiver next to the doghouse. I'm pretty sure the SEPv1 had this. If not, the v2 (and A1SA) certainly does.
Just a couple changes to the external model, and SB could have the v2 (and latest v2 if you went further and incorporated the CROWS). Would that be an easy addition?

I think Ssnake promised comment on this for April. The A2 would be great, but I'll settle for an A1 SA.

I've been away from multiplayer for a while. Is it still exclusively Abrams vs Leo, or are people running Abrams/Leo vs. T-72 scenarios, too?
0 -
Maybe.... I'll try to slow it down ....
Again, I'm surprised that with all that technology and programing, there isn't a simply override button to press that causes the turret to be overridden and turn immediately to face the direction the TC is looking...
Regards,
Doug
It's because the SB Abrams dates back to the iron age. One day we'll get an M1 from this millenium.

Badger, sounds like you're trying to slew the turret with continuous movement of the mouse. Move the mouse once, and adjust as needed.
Also, once moving at high speed, the turret needs time to decelerate, and not planning for that can feel like you've lost control.

I'd also like to see the wiki updated with armor values for the newer tanks.

Love the T-80 interior. The fit and finish is horrifying, particularly the turret ceiling.

No M1A1 love in the update?
