  1. For those that dont use RAR as a packer just download this folder and put it into your Map folder 

    You can find where that is by going to Main menu then Options then Filepaths you might need to unhide that folder as Esim for some not so obvious reason have chosen to hide it and then show where it is in the main menu that just dossent make sense. 

    Then copy paste this folder into the "Map Package" folder and restart Sb

    There is almost no difference in size between the packed file and my unpacked file and you will download from Google which usually is much faster then SB forums

    Year we never upgraded the drivetrain or engine which meant that by 1980es they where pretty worn out and we stopped using them in 1999. We called them scrammelturions internally as is shown by one of the exercises i was on, i was the FO for a SQN (COY) they started out with 10 Tanks (3x3 plus CO which during the cold war was standard) by midday on the first day only the COs tank was still running all the rest where broken down.
    The Danish Division in the Danish German Corps had an Anti tank BTN with 50 Centurions (84mm later 105mm) when they where mobilized and on exercise they sometimes where as low as 5-10 or less running during most of the exercise.
    But don't misunderstand me all the tankers said that it was shooting better then even the Leopard 1A5 it was just they had run since 1953 until 1999 without receiving upgrades on the drivetrain or engine at all and there where no spare parts for the drive train at all i saw mechanics scavenge old tanks used as target for parts of the drive train (Tracks, shock absorbers, road wheels etc...) at that time it was decades since it had been in production so no sources for parts.

    The 84/105 was equipped with a Ranging gun as far as i know and i quote "The main gun was aimed using a coaxially mounted .50-caliber machine gun that fired tracers in three-round bursts up to a range of 1,968 yards. The gunner watched the tracer rounds through a periscope gun sight and set the range on a drum device linked to the main gun."
    I might be wrong cause it was even before my time.

    So Mark you are both right and wrong. That's why i specifically asked for 3 different versions of the Danish ones and 2 of the Swedish ones so the ones designing the scen have a choice. 
    And since its already in the game and since the whole 
    Range finder , Thermic sight and Ballistic computer was taken from the same source and had identical performance it should be at least partly/Some copy paste in the code.
    I seem to remember that there might be a limitation with the ranging MG. 
    Also could we try to get the speed of the centurion right i know it could only drive 35 kmh but it could do so all over the place and we had trouble as FOs in our M113 to keep up as soon as we were of the road.
    And i haven't even taken the speed of the Israeli upgraded ones into account that might also be relevant.

      This turret is going to see widespread use in NATO as Denmark, Hungary, and Germany already have ordered it with more in the pipeline.

    The reason for all the Centurions is that its very popular in our Multiplayer games but the current version issent "right" no way to measure distance etc....
    All the new stuff is because in the last 2 years there has been an explosion in development of new stuff
    The other old stuff is to supplement the Centurions
    The Artillery is too fix and or implement what is wrong or should be there already (See below)
    The infantry is because whether we like infantry or not we cant have one without the other and i know people that teach on the military version that use is as a tool to teach combined arms not just a Tank crew trainer , year i have even seen Snake post videos from Spanish BDE 
    exercises , i have seen plenty of movies and pics from Danish combined arms exercises in the Tactical trainer in Oxbøl.

    That is as much damage as i can do in one night at my job with nothing to do.

Also to move people around between tanks, Its pretty annoying if a tank have a dead/Wounded driver and another have some other casualties and you cant make them jump across so there is a full crew and it would also be nice to be able to sneak up over the ridge with the TC to see if any badies are on the other side of the Ridge.
    I also totally agree with Grenny/Ronin especially about the assigning fires.
    You cant say this Battery support this unit and this for the MECH etc....

  5. For all the New guys velcome
    We will be on Kanium TS3 to setup your comms for the mission 1 hour before game start
    For all Coy commanders and new Platoon Leaders remember you need 2 Channels setup.

    Everyone remember to test if you have the map etc...  by downloading the test scenario (In the bottom of the first post)

    As there will be full platoons with gunners we need to setup with vehicles so people need to be there early so they can setup their Platoon and intercom freqs
    What that means is that you will have to communicate on the Platoon freqs and sit in each individual vehicle.

    We are now up to 27 to 29 people if i count correctly (I have failed before so i might) 🙄

    A few tips:
    - Be there early, so say 30 mins to 45 mins. That way we can set up your comms in TS with no stress.
    - Do the tutorials on in this case the M1A1 so you have the most fun
    - All the contact info is in the start of the thread.
    - Please inform me if you for some reason cant join (which is 100 % ok - then we just dont wait for someone who doesnt show up)

    - Dont be stressed out: everybody makes mistakes in the beginning- No matetr what you might mess up, then all the experienced have done it at least twice or more before you.

    - Download and put the test scenario in your scenario folder - usually in your documents folder. Then start game to verify that everything works at your end - thank you.

    I can take him but i think i saw that Phan has already offered but he will have a spot with either of us.

    No you come with accusations but no arguments and i also said that Apoc wassent "though to be fair its not the most elegant delivery".
    I gave reasons for agreeing/disagreeing with some of the stuff and i also gave you what i think is the reasoning behind Snakes argument which i think is a civiliased way of communicating as i don't just fling accusations around i try to argue for what and why.
    I think i will end here as this lead no further.

  9. Can we please keep a tone here that keep it civiliased please.
    And i must admit that this kind of also what i get out of the answers from Snake.
    But that is also because Snake has told us earlier that he uses that specific "Hand of God" or Dm functionality to differentiate between versions he wants to make sure that the countries that buys the Pro or military version don't just buy a lot of the cheaper Pro Pe version and use those as a much cheaper substitute if the PE version can do the same thing, so i am just trying to get a function that tries to negate the worst of that policy for us Pro Pe users.
    So year i understand where Apoc is coming from, though to be fair its not the most elegant delivery 😉 
    I could also come up with a lot of other arguments but i think we as usual can agree to disagree and at this point i don't see much hope of getting anywhere further its a shame because i really like your sim.
