  3. Can we have these 3 Light tanks / Recon / Firesupport vehicles

    M41
M41 "Walker Bulldog" (Front view, right side)

    M41 DK1
M41 DK1 (Front view, left side)

M10 Booker (Without having seen it myself the story is that the turret / controls etc.. is made as the M1 so that would make it "easy" to make the interior of the tank/Firesupport vehicle )

    Hey guys,

Is the event streamed? I played steel beasts back in the day, getting back into it and would love to check out the action.
Getting re-familiarized with the sim and would be cool to join when able.

    New members welcome?

    Tyty

    Kingtiger45 usually streams on Twitch

Also the quickest way back in the saddel is doing it we are always open to new guys

Just contact either me or @Nike-Ajax or @Assassin 7

The easiest way is via Kanium or Tanksim Discord.

  5. Ok but we have completely new guys from time to time and its our experience that you learn a hell of lot faster when you have somebody to play and talk with
But you are welcome when ever you dont need to be a member
And we never blame new guys we might smile with them if something unforeseen happen but we are never evil as we have all been there and been the new guy and the learning curve can be steep
and our plt Sergents/Leaders take active measures to help you not make blue on blue (Our mech inf guys dont like it) 🙉

    1. We have the rule that if you signup you show up or tell us in advance that you cant make it or dont feel like it (We dont need the reason just that you cant make it) either here or on TANKSIM or KANIUM Discord
    2. We also have a rule that says family is more important then this game so you can only play with us when you feel like it and have the time.
    3. You are also responsable for your behaviour aka behave towards us like you want to be treated yourself (But dont expect political correctness here cause you wont find it) but we behave like adults'.
    4. If you need help ask for it we might be able to provide it (But we cant read your mind) also the placements in the manninglist is first come first served
    5. We record all sessions (Kingtiger45, Cavgunner, Assassin and others)

I'd argue that if you are making a scenario where the enemy reacts in a manner that the player is totally unprepared for then you are making a bad scenario.

A good scenario with replayability should have more than one enemy course of action that the player can determine from reading the briefing. Usually these courses of action are not completely new plans with zero similarities: most COAs will share many similar features. The challenge to give to the player is enough information to know where to look to try to determine which course of action the enemy is using so they can modify their plan appropriately during the execution phase. I'd also offer that all information that the player needs should be contained within the scenario. Having to look up threat task organizations in an external document is lazy scenario design, IMO, but one that is very common in many commercial "military realism" oriented games. There are multiple echelons above a Platoon, Company, Battalion, etc. that would realistically be feeding information to their subordinate unit (IE the player) to allow them to make an actionable plan with a reasonable chance of success. This information will never be 100% correct, but it certainly won't be 100% wrong.

You can also add other variations to existing enemy COAs. Maybe there is a 10% chance that the enemy will commit their reserve to your AO, and so now you have to fight two tank companies as opposed to one? Maybe there is a 35% chance that the enemy will commit rotary wing aviation to disrupt your planned offense? Maybe there is a 75% chance that the enemy will conduct non-observed "terrain denial" fires on locations where the player is likely to put observation posts? You can definitely get creative with adding in additional "things" that can bleed over from the area of interest into the player's area of operations. They don't have to be game changers, but they should be something that forces the player to consider them in their plan or face the consequences.

To add to Mirza's argument watch this
