  1. Some things I forgot to mention

    because you changed the files from .bmp to .dds. all your skins have to be in .dds

    the viewer in the skinner will not work with .dds files ( Nimo might have a fix for this )

    The way I have my directory set up is

    My documents/eSim games/Steel Beasts/mods ( skinner is sitting here )/skins/ (a folder for each individual skin) 4CMBG,Can winter,ASLAV nomarkings,Cypress etc.

  2. I use Nimo's skinner alot and with some work, it works well with 2.460

    With Nimo's skinner there are 5 text documents:

    Readme - This text doc. tells you how to set up and use the skinner

    files - This is a list of all the veh.s and all the "parts" that make up that veh.

    save - this remembers what changes you made

    log - where the changes came from

    settings - This is where your "settings" that you set in the skinner are kept ( the readme text doc. walks you through how to set up the skinner )

    The only set of files that you have to change for the skinner to work with the Ver 2.460 is that in the files text document you have to change all of the files from .bmp to .dds

    example original

    "Leopard 1A5DK","leo1a5dk.bmp","leotrack.bmp","leo1a5dkINT.bmp","none","none","none","none","none","none","none","none","none","none","none","none","none","none","none","none","none"

    change to

    "Leopard 1A5DK","leo1a5dk.dds","leotrack.dds","leo1a5dkINT.dds","none","none","none","none","none","none","none","none","none","none","none","none","none","none","none","none","none"

    To add the new veh's, sorry I don't know how to do that...yet.

  3. I look at these shots and I swear i'm looking at one of our Bissons (early LAV type veh. the military got for the Inf. reserves in the 90's, cheaper and easier to train on than an M113) Had a C-6 (your M240) on it instead of a .50 cal.

    .50 cal would make more sence as it is a better support wpn than the C-6

  4. Depending on the veh. and what systems you want illuminated, the use of night lights or low level lighting is different in each veh.

    for the AVGP cougar we had red/white lamps in the turret in 3 spots as well as on the inside of the hull plus some of the gunnery systems had adjustable light intensidy.

    In some cases some of those red lamps were either blue or in one case many years ago one of the lamps was green (maint most likely could not find a red bulb)

    For the G-Wagon we have adjustable red lights on flex necks in 3 locations for the crew.

  5. Tried to look at the skins, everything is in a .rar file, no problem there, however when I open the .rar file the skin is listed in a .psd format which when I try to open

    gives me ????.

    Am I missing something or just not doing something?

    HELP!

  6. Many thanks for the blanks, but as oliver would say " Please sir, can I have some more?"

    I myself would most greatfully like to see some blanks for the Leo 1A5, Bibber,

    LAV25, ASLAV, ASLAV PC, and all of the M113 series.

    HINT: Trying to do CDN skins, Need MAJOR help.

    Know this is a vast undertaking, would do some of this myself, but don't know how.
