  1. Rubble resulting from buildings being destroyed during the execution phase would be even better
  2. Classic twalfa, a link to the thread youre already reading
  3. Im not suggesting that the 'Tank' is obsolete (and i dont think the author of the topic video is either), but obviously all of the things you mention here add costs to an already expensive platform, which (from a procurement perspective at least) is a factor in the viability of said platform, especially if/when there are cheap, mass produce-able anti-tank weapons and drones to consider. I also understand that combined arms is 'a thing'. Just sayin
  4. Here are a few other videos from his channel that are relevant to this subject
  5. Just sharing this interesting analysis of tank survivability 'these days'
  6. This is already a thing, no need to 'wish' for it
  7. Twalfa, perhaps you forgot what we were originally discussung, which was the matter of the drivers position not being occupy-able by other crew members...nothing to do with fuel leaks or drowned tanks.
  8. I dont know what you are implying with that, but Urban Dictionary has some... interesting interpretations! https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Honk Honk
  9. Being a sitting target in a tank that has a damaged main gun and an incapacitated driver....no thanks!
  10. I dont interpret such a degree of specificity in the OP's wish. As i see it , limited supply could be achieved through an abstraction/ simplification such as; "for supply trucks, possibility to choose ammo type { "type" being defined by an ammunition class system, ie; 'Tank Main Gun' / 'ATGM' / 'Small Arms' / 'Artillery' etc } and quantity carried { "quantity carried" being defined by an abstraction such as a variable quantity of 'Supply Points' carried by each truck, with point values assigned to the various types/classes, as above } for each one."
  11. Did i say that i wanted that? No. Did the OP request this? No. Only you have introduced this model, which i already addressed in my previous post (abstraction). The guys at esim are obviously capable and intelligent people, im sure that the concept of limited supply could be implemented (without it being a sce designers nightmare) if they were able and willing to implement it.
  12. Because its nice to have options as a scenario designer. For example, a scenario that has an attack helicopter and a supply truck = unlimited hellfires for the entire mission, whereas if the truck/s could be configured to carry limited types/natures, this is not an issue (or even an abstracted amount of 'Supply' with ammo types costing a certain amount of 'Supply'). Its not a new or unproven concept within games, there are many examples in other games of how this could be implemented. Again, implementing a limit to the quantity of 'Supply' in a truck neednt be 'Logistics Simulator 2022', it could be abstracted as are many other elements within SB.
  13. Crew members taking the place of incapacitated driver is not currently modelled/ abstracted. I would very much like to see this too, its another strange inconsistency within SB that really grinds my gears
  14. I have used both Shadowplay and ReLive for Nvidia and AMD GPU's respectively. They are both free, and i find both to be reliable, user friendly and generally adequate (you use this to record the gameplay). For encoding i use Shotcut, its free, powerful, and easy to use if you just want to drag n drop files and hit go. Seems like a powerful bit of software if you want to get fancy with transitions and other editing magic, but with the resultant learning curve being steeper (you use this to 'encode' the video, which makes the file smaller and suitable to upload to youtube etc).
  15. I used the DF90 as a proxy for the SADF Ratel 90 (along with some Shot Kals) , going up against T55s and T62s in a TGIF (Multiplayer PVP) scenario last year, and the DF90s dominated...
  16. A rather uninformative trailer for the upcoming armour overhaul on Post Scriptum. I played around with the new tank stuff on a few of the Public Test Weekends recently, and im impressed with what they have done here with the UE4 engine. Hopefully this update will bring back some of the old players and some new ones too. Update is due to release in a few days i believe.
  17. Sorry to say i wont be there for the last game, too many (ever increasing) work & family demands
