Sorry I miss the fun. I was on the road from the east coast to Winnipeg. However I was thinking of you guys. Tanks for the campaign, it was fun in the few times i did play. My SB time has now come to the end for under a year, as I will be in the sandbox doing some real fighting (not a lot I hope). But as always SB will be in my head from time to time. And try to get along while I'm gone please.....:biggrin:

This can work and has, in other places in reverse. Defeating the insurgency with the above and the population will turn in the bad guys that can't provide what you can. Its just a mater of time, do you want to wait the enemy out? or do you want to destroy and then rebuild the infrastructure. If you have $ and no time it's a no brainer, however this does have hidden cost ( more KIA's both military and civies). If you have time, well then its better for all involved except the bad guys. As we all know we don't have time and only one country is printing $ like it's going out of style. $ did solve the Iraq mess, but what happens when the cash stops coming?:confused:

There are other means to take a house as you know. A 120 mm tank round is on the far end of spectrum. Gas, waiting them out,throwing pigs into the house is another good one:biggrin:. Or just level the building with a armoured bulldozer or and Heavy AFV for that matter. One can find ways other than 120mm and pissing off :decu:all the surrounding villagers, who now will join in on the insurgency. The sooner we start to realize this the faster we can pull out of the mess we all find ourselves in at the moment. Unleashing heavy weapons when other means are available is old school. We are currently learning this lesson all over again, and will so in the future I suspect.:confused:

Not would like to be the person who has to explain why the (USA) used a 120 mm tank round to take out a (at the most RPG) in the street. Although I fully understand the situation can warrant such a escalation of force:eek2:. However it makes getting the population to come over to your side with such acts very difficult. I feel the pain for the CA unit that must explain this a good thing to the locals:frown:, maybe lots of $$$$ would help? This is a observation, not a put down of my US friends, who I stand by in my day to day job.

A delay is good for me. I'm stuck down here in NTC (sunny Ca) and can't fly home due to a winter storm on the east coast. Oh, o I miss Canada.......................NOT!!! So A delay is just what I need....
