  1. ...and even a specialized CAD software cannot provide sufficiently accurate simulation results- they need to be confirmed by live fire tests, and to make things even more complicated- real-world (battlefield) performance could easily be 30-50% worse than demonstrated during live fire tests. There are just way too many variables, which cannot be properly accounted.

  3. Hello, there should be 2 mails- one is a confirmation mail with order number, and another- containing license activation link. Neither of them came through, or just one? First of all, please check spam/junk mail folder- may be our mails got trapped by spam filter. Then another factor- transaction processing is not always instant, unfortunately, and may take several hours. If there is no our mails in your spam mail folder, and after a couple of hours nothing comes through- please contact sales.

So please think seriously before posting something and accusing or openly insulting someone. Please understand very simple thing. Most of us here are adult people with their own well-established views and opinions, which are not easy to change, especially by stepping in to moot and pointless dispute with childish argumentation. Such 'debates' usually have only one outcome, and it is negative. And if you don't like, what someone is posting, or sending you via PM- there is Ignore feature on this board.

  6. Well, as far as I can see it works on the flat map in offline session, but a few factors should be taken in to account: 1) Visibility range. With default 3km range, if target is let's say is 3,5km away from your 9P148, gunner will do nothing- he does not see it 2) If terrain is not flat- slope angle, since launcher and sight have minus 5 degrees depression limit(also in real life cant angle limitations would apply, very similar to Bradley). Possible issues specific to network session require a separate investigation...

  8. Hello, first of all, please check your spam mail folder, since there is a non-zero chance of confirmation email being trapped by the spam filter. Then please keep in mind, that there could be a delay up to a few hours, since in some rare cases transactions are not processed instantly, especially if credit card was used; wait for a couple of hours, and if there is still no confirmation mail, please contact sales.

  12. Excuse me, but why map was uploaded to scenario download section instead of maps downloads? This practise creates a lot potential issues, since in this case automated download of relevant map is not possible, and even if user is able to find map somehow, he may face significant difficulties with copying it in to correct package folder. Dear scenario makers, if you made a custom map for your scenario- please upload this map to maps section!
  13. Yes, you can delete those files. But at this point there is no certain setting option, which would prevent collection of logs... And obviously, if for some reason if you are running SB in debug mode(with command line parameter '--loglevel=TRACE') on regular basis, then logfiles will contain more data and will take more disc space.

  16. 1) BTR-60/-70/-80 and BRDM-2. Those vehicles have very lightweight turrets with very fast traverse and elevation gear. What is missing in SB? AZ and EL brakes, which should not be confused with EL and AZ travel locks. Note that in real life amount of braking is variable, and with brakes fully applied attempts to traverse the turret or change elevation of the gun would be a very interesting and frustrating experience(but this does not change gear ratios). And no, it not possible to replicate this with existing input devices available to average user. 2) T-55. You can use mouse in normal mode, because in real life this is 'Automatic' mode, where gun is fully stabilized and both elevation and traverse are powered. In emergency mode you can use mouse only to control traverse, because in real life this is semi-auto mode, without any stabilization, but with powered traverse still available. But then there is manual mode, where you should tap arrow keys, since in this mode, just like IRL, there is neither powered elevation nor traverse. Sure, unlike real life you don't need to manually switch EL gear from powered to manual operation(which is replicated with T-72 series), plus ability to separately toggle on and off AZ and EL stabilization is omitted. Very boring and trivial stuff.

Effective range for PCOT AP is defined in ammo config as 1000meters; please note, that in game this is a cut-off range for AI, e.g. if target is further away, then AI would sit and do nothing, if gun is loaded, since AI cannot swap ammo or discharge gun by firing it. E.g. this is the same issue as with PT-76.

  19. Thanks for reporting this problem! As far as I can see, there is an issue with ammo selection by AI, affecting VEC. Unfortunately, changing SAPHEI to more appropriate HEI will not resolve it for you at this moment I'll pass information to programmers.

  21. As I wrote above- this particular texture is not standard and does not comes with SB or maps included to our maps installer. I'm trying to say, that very likely there is modified sbarn.dds file for Barn2 ID#51 on your computer, and thing with mods(especially theme-specific mods), that it is very easy to forget about them- I made that mistake several times myself. Please check contents of following folders for modified Sbarn.dds: My Documents\eSim Games\Steel Beasts\mods\textures\woodland My Documents\eSim Games\Steel Beasts\mods\textures\autumn _your_maps_directory_\Scania_edited [autocreated base]\actors\textures In most extreme case it is worth to check what is going on in Program Files\eSim Games\SB Pro PE\textures\woodland and Program Files\eSim Games\SB Pro PE\textures\autumn ...by default there no dedicated 'autumn' or 'desert' versions of sbarn.dds, while default woodland looks like this:
  22. Map packages allow to have texture mods applied directly to them, so it is worthy to check if base package contains anything in _package_name_\actors\textures
  23. I'd suggest to check your mods folder. Those are not standard textures delivered with SB itself, or with map package. With 'stock' textures exactly same spot should look like this:
  24. Yes. Plus, it makes sense to inspect them individually for excess vertices which were placed automatically at wrong places(usually in proximity of intersections, bridges etc.). Also, bug #9802 still applies and it a good idea to check if waypoints are not between tracks of highway ID #5 (small 4x4 vehicle or motorbike might not be able to reach such waypoint, if tactics forces unit to stay on road). So there is still a big amount of manual labour needed.
  25. With this option unticked you would not need to hold ALT key at all, e.g. for off-road routes, or portions of the routes extending outside of the roads navmeshes are going to be used by default
