  1. Matrix Games/Slitherine have been a mayor deception, for me at least. Expensive games on old engines and/or recanned into a new look (CMO, Panzer Corps 2, Close Combat: Bloody First).  I hope VR Designs will sale his latest game (Shadow Empire) on his own at some point.

PoA-2 is another let down, Scott spent seven years to release it in it´s present state, to find out that it´s quite scripted. It´s more a test bed then anything else, not worth $60 IMHO.

TBH, I rather buy the boardgames. If you like CMANO, check out Blue Water Navy by Compass Games...

The same happens with the Kamov Ka 50 (Black Shark). Done it, and can be done. Most serious flight simmers have two monitors, and added key pads to assign key-strokes, read +500 page manuals etc.  Then some complain there´s not enough realisim, or it´s to arcade like... Someone ALWAYS has to complain. Especially when they don´t have it there way, aye Sir!

What ever you play, ENJOY the ride!

But no, then someone will bitch at one because you misfired, like if there life depended on it, or if you were under there command in RL. To miIsim when they play, but then, oh this is to geek for me. Yeah sure, been playing for the last 50 years, and I can tell what wheel rim belongs to each AFV hidden in the bushes by only seeing the wheel rim.  Looks away when he hits blue on blue! No thanks!

DCS has been at it for 20 years or so, BIG fan base, that means something weather some agree or not. Fanbois or not, theres plenty of them, for the good, and the bad.  There´s NO one ring to rule them all, but at least it´s as close as a combined arms sim can get for now.

  3. It´s hard to consider anything "finished" in the computer world, as everything is pretty much evolving constantly, weather it be with patches, updates or additions. Then you have the dependency of hardware and OS, which they too are in constant changes.  So there´s always a chance that a fix, breakes something else, or a update needs other things to be fixed.  So is anything really finished?  In a way, if you Isolate yourself and your PC from the world, but even then there will be some aspects that never got fixed of what ever hard/soft you have installed.  Nothing is perfect, the same way that people are not perfect playing a game...

    Just my thoughts.

  4. It´s about the only (newer) FPS I havent played or have, and been thinking about it these past monhts.

A honest reviews, as his reviews for SC too...

I have been recently playing Hell Let Loose, really like it. In a VU, but even if I wasent, I have found that folks who play HLL are quite chilled. As with above, you do need to spend some hours before you get the feel for it. I have about 80hrs. now, and just recently started to get some hits through, and know what Iam doing.  Very Immersive, you do feel like your there. Do be communicative or you´ll be kicked from the server your on. No lone wolves here!

  5. Yes, also because you would not get a full team in every mission IIRC, so loosing a team memeber meant you had less of a chance to finish the mission.

With regards to Ground Branch, yes they have done "some" stuff to it (two new maps etc.), but I have to agree with you, they are taking way to long.  I know there´s at least 5 people working on GB in there spare time. If you compare that to what one guy has done with Black Day since 2017, it really dosent make much sense, well it does, there taking there sweet time about it!

Black Day might not hace MP, but it has a bunch of maps, and as is, it has way more gamplay then GB. Sure it can improve but as I said, still more gameplay then GB, and done with only one guy which also has a family to take care of.
