It has repetitive game mechanics but relaxing Tech tree is different for each game so you can replay it if you like. Satellite Command http://store.steampowered.com/app/514670/Satellite_Command/

For all you GOG users, you can get Deadlight Directors Cut for free for a limited time so hurry up! Easy to play survival zombi killer... https://www.gog.com/ I seem to be having these type of games chase me lately! I recently bought for me and my girlfriend The Wild 8, another survival game that you can play up to 8 players on MP or solo. It´s a "Lost" meets "The Long Dark" in top view and on the hardcore side, I died 3-4 times at start! It´s quite addicting! While Iam at it, might as well show all you Star Trek fans what I found yesterday... Stage 9 is a free fan made project to rebuild the Enterprise D in all its glory! Free download for 32-64 bit and even VR... Stage 9 UK Home page and download: http://stage-9.co.uk/ Have fun Trekheads! Care, Red

Well, DW is on sale alot of times over at Steam and other web sites, so you could always pick up a copy if you like. Mine is from Steam and I use the RA mod. I still have my CD copy of 688i but the CD won´t run on new systems so I had to buy the Steam version. You can get all three version (688i, Sub Command and Dangerous Waters) on Steam, they even put the whole bundle on sale sometimes for very cheap (€5) http://store.steampowered.com/app/1600/Dangerous_Waters/?
  12. When ever it´s ready will be more then happy to welcome it with in-mind to all the hard work put into it! Thank you for this status update!

Last dive with Homer which was a knife fight, and I think RDML LaBolla was there too, and some others that I can´t remember now, Homer sunk my sub at +10 ROE with actives out of no where at a couple of hundred yards to my sub! Never even saw his sub on sonar to start with! Beware of this gentelmen and his know how of ASW! That was with Jane´s 688i H/K with no 3D view BTW. That was quite some years ago too... Sir <S>

Can´t go throught it all (read it) as Iam off to sleep, gota wake-up at 5am... But, just wanted to say that Jeff has also worked with Scott Hamilton (Point of Attack 2), I knew the name rang a bell http://www.hpssims.com/pages/about us/Jeff_Lapkoff/Jeff_Lapkoff.htm Iam in the middle of some gameplay with "Gettysburg The Tides Turn", also a one battle game but at about $10. Still a great game and inovating design from Shenandoah Studios/Matrix Games... http://grogheads.com/aars/15860 Steam: http://store.steampowered.com/app/602510/Gettysburg_The_Tide_Turns/

Thanks for your Insight Mirzayev, very helpful! Yes I also agree that alot of folks expected this to be something else, I also stated this from the begining in the original post.

Might as well start a thread with regards to wargames, be it digital or board games. I´ll start off with a recent one in my library... DVG Phantom Leader for PC. Based on the original boardgame, and the solitaire "Leader" series of which DVG is famous for, this addition is for PC or iOS. A faithful adaptation of the original boardgame to PC/iOS at a fraction of the cost. As I have the "Gato Leader" box set, this one was a easy pick. It´s working for me on Windows 10 except for the online rules which don´t show up, but you do have help baloons on screen if needed. You can download the rules on PDF from the Phantom Leader Deluxe product page. Downside is you can´t change resolution but in this case/type it´s not that important. Might put up a video some day... DVG Solitaire digital games Phantom Leader rules set The smell of napalm in the morning... Cheers!

Thanks Mirzayev! Some underwater pics would help with the heat wave here in Spain! I have "Atlantic Fleet" which sort of dose the trick, you kind of want to jump offboard into the cold sea to cool off Would you say that Cold Waters has replay value? Or would you replay the same campaign again? Don´t want to open another thread, although we could have a "wargames" thread Here´s a cool mini game and free (Prosim/Armchair General) "March to Baghdad Episode one"... http://www.armchairgeneral.com/marchtobaghdad Works just fine on W10, just don´t use the "Spot Report Log" option as it lags. Same engine is used on Battle Group Commander Episode One: BGC Espisode One and AATF (Air Assault Task Force). Care, Red
  18. Nice to see different "points of view" For more in-depth info regarding modeling/simulation used in the TSS series see p.334 of the manual (download in product page above). - Sandbox Form (Combat calculator) p.483 - Movment p.408 - Turn/pulse p.334 Personally I find this wargame/simulation in a league of it´s own, and as Ssnake stated, "Different designers, different design decisions", to me it´s that simple. A creator of something will always know it´s flaws, which means nothing is perfect, just different.
  19. Further testing on POA2 with regards to targeting... Seem that the "Combat Calculator" puts out decent numbers, Iam sure some of you here know better. Most data is from Janes source (see bottom comment window)... M1A2SEP >Target - T-72 @3.169m. (first report/FOW level 3)... LOS... First pulse (=15sec.)... Return fire from the T-72 (platoon to its left pop´s smoke)... End turn (4 pulses=15sec. each)... Result in one wreck (M1A2SEP) from 2nd platoon...
