You can also wait and buy it when it goes on sale on Steam, if you don't have the burning desire to get it immediately. I've seen it at half-price back when I bought Command: Modern Air/Naval Operations (which was also conveniently half-price.)

    I agree.

I got both of my GG games on sale this last Christmas (50%) at Matrix.  They had a "D-Day sale" (30% off) just recently (6/6/17), and Iam sure they will have a summer sale soon so stay tuned...

PD.: If you buy it at Matrix Games you also get a Steam key B|

  2. A cool AAR (analysis) of the US campaign (spoiler) on Combat Missions Black Sea....

I try but I seem to hate how you move the map on CM titles, it gets on my nerves! :(

  3. I watched this stream a couple of day´s ago and knuckle/torp evasion and helo tracking wasent that bad IMHO.  Could be better but overall not bad I think. We tend to treat it as if it was Dangerous Waters and it´s not.  With about 7hrs. of gameplay you got your money´s worth as in any other game, and they are fixing things.  Still I´ll wait till it´s on sale!  I really like the way it looks and I get the urge every time, so I give the Visa to my wify (which Iam not sure if that´s a better solution) :D

  4. Intel chips (CPU) have internal graphics hardware built-in (most of them).  So you can delete your nVidia driver and/or unplug your graphics card and start from there to see where is the problem (reverse engineering).

I would try uninstalling ALL of the nVidia soft first and make a fresh install of the same, or earlier version nVidia software/driver.

If you think you blew your graphics card, you can confirm this with a PCI tester card like this one...

It'd be cool if you could edit terrain theme settings (drag, traction, hardness, and maybe bumpiness) in real-time when testing a mission in the editor to quickly find appropriate settings for whatever kind of terrain you're trying to represent.

  6. Cool mission and learned some new stuff which is always good!   Overall we did well! :)

Enjoyed it and glad to have a Wensday night mission on a regular basis.  Hope that more players show up next Wensday and find that it´s a good alternative for those who can´t make it on Sunday´s.  Great initiative on behalf of Kanium VU.  Thank you Nike-Ajax and the rest of players!  Look forward for more!

Can´t think of what to suggest right now, all I can think of is...Where´s the target? :D

Also what is a "polish chops"

"To polish" Make something shiny, to stand out, to be better at....xD

"Chops" Chop Suey, to chop a tree down, to show your stuff...:D

In plain English, to be more proficinet in different roles.

  10. Iam all for it! :)

    - Time seem´s fine, maybe a bit more towards 20:00GMT so you can have dinner before or after mission if that´s the case.

    - It would be cool to alternate between weeks and focus on a particular subject once every other week to polish chops. (inf, recces etc.)

    - Anything is fine with me, I just want to learn as much as I can.

I already have a mission to attend this wensday with another group (will ask them to move day to tuesday´s or thrusday´s) so I will see you all next week!

    Yes, you are welcome.

    As it says:

As always, visitors / first timers / spectators are welcome.

    0830 GMT ????

The title is pretty clear its on at 0900 GMT, yes 24 hour format (i.e. 9 am).

If you look at this link (the grey type) you'll see a local equivalent:

Your Local time: Local time for your part of the world

Which is why I put it there. :)

I don't understand what isn't clear, perhaps English is not your native tongue?

    Thank you.

Quite clear, just wasent sure if 0900hrs is in a 24hr format.  Now that I think about it, military time is alway´s in a 24hr format.

    Iam bilingual BTW.

Good 1 Red2112  - good sound, good visuals and good editing !

And you are getting better and better, it is hard commanding a tank for the first time.

Dont know if you know it, but when in column, then its good to know that you can order your gunner to have his focus in a specific direction with the arrow + shift. And combined with the orders you can give your gunner then its easier focusing on where and how your tank will move.

    Thank you Nike-Ajax!

Yes I know that, but thanks for the heads-up!  Iam sure if I wasent in the gunners position at that moment, he would have got the shot and we would have survived.  It was a difficult (or not) situation, we had a house/trees to our left, we were to close together and the enemy was flanking our left flank, and we had to reverse in order to see/avoid the enemy (we did not know were he was at first).  It was one of those "split second" decision making scenarios that cost us half of our platoon!

Either way these are good missions, and whenever you are learning something it´s always a good thing IMHO.  Had a great time, just a bit frustrated at first for getting killed early, but that´s how life is on the battleground!  I enjoyed it alot :)

While in "All Commands" search for "return."  Then look for "Toggle laser return first / last."

    Thanks CavGunner, found it!

It´s the "ñ" key, at least on a Spanish keyboard :D

    30 minutes ago, Rotareneg said:

That's not quite right for the Leopard either, it uses the "Alt. range" key to immedately lase in first return mode, there's no first/last return toggle like with the M1.

You´r right Rotar, just found that out, now that I know which key it is.  The above metioned "ñ" key works for the M1 as LRF first/last as expected, but not so for the Leopard.

    Thank you Rotar!

Iam slowly learning new tricks in SB B|
