  1. I also found the nudge feature in the release notes. If I go to F7 view and use the arrow keys, nothing happens (I've tried it on an M2HB and a Javelin CLU). I seem to remember there was a "Top down" quasi 3D view for infantry units, but I can't remember how to get to it. For the moment "move here" is working well enough, but it would be nice to have the nudge feature.
  2. Hi Jartsev. No, I'm not clicking CTRL in launcher view and I have limited ammunition (1 ready + 5 reloads). What also happens is the reticle stays locked on burning vehicle regardless of training the launcher, even if I traverse the launcher so far that the reticle goes off the edge of the screen and back.
  3. Hi. I just set up a scenario where a Spike ATGW launcher was employed against BMP-3 moving in and out of trees. On occasions the missile launcher would remain locked on the burning vehicle after impact. I can't understand how this could happen as, for the duration of the engagement, the view would be from the missile, not the launcher and the launcher would presumably not retain tracking of the target after missile impact. I could not find a way to break the lock other than respositioning the launcher. i realise the missile must only have limited coolant (as an aside, the LR2 version uses an uncooled seeker), so there is only a certain amount of time to break lock and engage another target. How do I break lock?
  4. If some of these were to be implemented three years from now I'd be delighted as I'm over the moon with 4.159. Nanodrones (squad/section level). Quad/hex copters of various sizes and specificaitons, including options for explosives, either built in or droppable (40mm grenades with shuttlecock tails etc.), perhaps anti tank rockets as several drones out there have this capability. Dedicated suicide drones like Switchblade and Harop. Yes, I've asked for it before, but BONUS/SMArt and GMLRS delivered equivalents. Simulation of metal detectors and IED jammers. Off route mines. (low priority) WAM HORNET type intelligent, networked, top attack mines. Ability to launch single GMLRS rockets. Ability of snipers to be switched to engage any target, not just high value. Ground based lasers in anti drone and anti air roles. Drone jammers, hand held up to truck mounted.
  5. Failing this, can someone please point me in the direction of any tutorial about the following: Infantry movement top down view/manu. How to adjust sights on machineguns (new functionality) How to "nudge" support weapons (new functionality) Thanks again Chris
  6. Rotareneg, sorry, it's the MB3000-CDI-NL - I was thinking G for G-Wagen. Still getting used to the new vehicles. DarkAngel. Thank you. What happens is O gets me back to the reflex sight and R then cycles between the reflex and open sights. That's exactly what I wanted. Thanks again.
  7. Hi. The Googlefu must be weak in me tonight as I have spent about 45 minutes here and on Youtube trying to locate a couple of videos. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction. 1. One posted recently, I think by Grenny, showing the new, wheeled, DShK 12.7mm HMG, adjustable sights on the MG3, M2HB and Mk19, how to "nudge" support weapons around and the Halfinger vehicle pintle mount. 2. One posted a while back in 4.0 days showing infantry movement, including shooting a rifle mounted GL and engaging with a Pzf-3. Many thanks Chris
  8. Hi. I am really loving 4.1 and greatly appreciate the work you guys put into SB, but I just came across what I think is a bug. When I have the M2HB MG with the reflex, ELCAN or peep sight mounted on the G3000, if I fire off a 100 round box and reload I cannot regain access to the weapon's sights by going to F6 then F2 again. F2 doesn't seem to do anything. This only happens after reloads.
  9. Oh.... my.... God..... It's like 54 years of Christmases all arrived at the same time. Outstanding work guys! Simply outstanding! My wife's reaction was "Oh, yea, great Chris; I'll get back to my pattern design". This, she says, sums up the basic non-physiological difference between us. She likes to create things and I like to destroy them
  10. I'd like vehicles to have individual markings so you don't see enemy tank No. 243 over and over again which causes a bit of suspension of disbelief.
  11. Gibson's artillery template is the 2nd most useful thing I have printed off from the SB Pro PE package, after the keyboard template.
  12. When I had the same thing happen, Ssnake's solition was tap "T" to Taser your commander. It buys you about 10 seconds of peace, although he may well already have had the loader put the "wrong" ammo nature up the spout
  13. Probably not doctrinally accurate, and may differ from vehicle to vehicle and army to army, but when playing the gunner, I'd like to have an option to have the commander pop smoke and/or order reverse when an incoming ATGW is detected and audibly call out the incoming anti tank missile and its rough bearing - assuming they see it of course.
  14. Probably not doable/justifiable or it would already have been done, but, along with wrecked versions of vehicles (just a skin showing the vehicle is burned out would be fine), I'd like to see marks on the ground indicating where HE, DPICM etc. have hit, vehicles have burned out etc. I'd also like some wildlife/farm animals and ambient sound like bird, frog and insect calls, where appropriate. I know these are just gilding the lily and have probably been asked for before. Happy New Year, in advance, everyone!
  15. The only problem I have with helicopters (and it's by far the No. 1 bug I'd like to see fixed in the simulation) is the relative lethality or lack thereof of various automatic weapons and missiles when used against them due to the way damage is modelled. This can cause significantly unrealistic outcomes. We already discussed this, and I fully accept that you will prioritise it according to perceived/stated customer need and other factors included in your business model.
  16. The Warsaw Pact propaganda films that had hordes of T series tanks dashing into a river and popping up the other side weren't referred to as "How we Concreted the Elbe" for nothing.
  17. Guys, my memory may be at fault here, but I thought the Pizarro had an auto-tracking feature in its FCS. I've been through the (excellent) manual and posts on the forum and not found any mention of how to engage it, if it indeed exists. I'm really enjoying the Pizarro - then again, other than Warrior, there hasn't been a vehicle in SB that I didn't enjoy
  18. It was lightened to be carried by a Wessex helo, but it was the general service 1/2 ton truck issued to all units - not only paras and RMs.
  19. That's what I experienced. It had me scratching my head thinking I'd done something wrong.
  20. Just a guess, but those look like M1 steel helmets and the LCE appears to be 1960s-80s US ALICE pattern, which is a reasonable stand in for UK '58 pattern. The DPM cammo is done beautifully though.
