We love playing with you all, the arranger and CO loves you even more if you sign up in advance 😁 Recooperate and Recalculate Scenario: 8 hours ago, our battalion launched a surprise strike on an Iraqi airfield in the area after tensions escalated sharply. This strike resulted in us capturing the airfield, however it came at a significant cost to equipment, as well as the fact that the second objective of capturing the town northeast of the airfield named Al Jhaiid was left incomplete. Over the course of the day, both sides made probing strikes against eachother to test the other's resolve, and both sides found the other was too built up to make attacking worth the effort. Now, 8 hours later, fresh Iranian reinforcements have arrived at the airfield with one prerogative - finish the job. Scouting report: Probing attacks and arial recon throughout the day suggested a dwindling Iraqi presence in Al Jhaiid, signifying them pulling their forces back in sequence. Recon was inconclusive about whether these forces would return in a counteroffensive if we were to attack the town, so it is best to assume that they will and prepare for a counterattack accordingly upon the town's capture. Your battalion has been tasked with seizing a vital enemy airfield in the area and occupying the nearby town in order to demonstrate our willingness to use force. If you fail, Iran faces embarrassment on the world stage, and Iraq may find the confidence to invade. Assets: 3 Platoons of T-72M1s. 2 Platoons of Light Mechanized infantry in BTR-80s. Each BTR possesses a Konkurs team. 1 Platoon of Heavy Mechanized infantry in BMP-2s. The BMPs DO NOT possess ATGM teams. Your forces are currently understrength to defend against such an attack, and thus reinforcements from reserve units will be arriving piecemeal over the course of the enemy attack. As per NATO standard, deploying troops in large population centers is prohibited, and combat within population centers should be kept to a total minimum. We are here to save West Germany, not destroy it. You have 10 minutes to prepare before the enemy begins their advance to RED LINE 1. Available assets: 1 Platoon of Leo 2A4s. 2 Platoon of Leo 1A5s. 2 Platoons of Mech. Inf. in Marder IFVs, with a MILAN team per individual Marder. Enemy forces are defending the AO with a Mechanized Infantry Battalion, supported by tanks. The battalion consists of 2x companies of infantry (BMP2), 2x Companies of T72B1tanks, and is supported by 1x jeep-mounted ATGM/Recon, 3x batteries of artillery, and a platoon ZSU 23-4s. We expect scouts and light forces to be defending west of the west of the Orteaux River, but the enemy's main defensive force (tanks/mech inf) defending East of the river. We have also detected a battery of ZSU-23-4 guns defending along the river - this may be high risk for any air assault attempt across the river. Our signals intelligence has detected an enemy headquarters on the road between Siltry and Allseen, with a logistics node established to the south, near Altinau Pass. Friendly a. Friendly forces are currently positioned off the coast, at amphibious launch points and Pickup Zones. Follow-on forces are currently staging off-map; a tank company is prepared to immediately reinforce once the port has been seized, and heavy air-lift company is prepared to deliver 2x platoons of Light Armored Vehicles to reinforce the airfield. There are currently 3x Special Operations sniper teams on the shore that are available for tasking. II Mission.
