  1. From what I can see:

Inbox has threads that contain all the messages involved in a conversation going in both directions.  That history stays there until I delete it.

There are some filters I can use to filter by who started the conversation, but they don't apply per folder.  So I don't think there would be any way to simulate an outbox.

I can add additional folders, and move message threads to those folders.

It's been long enough that I cannot remember what the previous version of forum software did with the messages.

  2. Hi All,

A new bundle installer and pro pe installer have been built and uploaded.  If you downloaded yesterday through today at 15:45 GMT, then uninstall pro pe, delete the old bundle installer, then download the new bundle installer and leave Pro PE 4.250 checked to download and install the new one.

    To answer some questions here:

    1.  The maps package has not changed, legacy maps have not changed.  If you leave them checked, the bundle installer will look at the version installed and see it, and ignore your request to download and install it.  It should note it in the window.

    2.  The codemeter check has been removed, it was in there because a few months ago there were security issues with an old version of codemeter runtime and I wanted to make sure it was patched.  The Pro PE installer has a newer version of runtime so this is not needed.

    3.  If you choose to save the downloaded files, it will take HD space, but its also useful if one of the downloads fails during the download process.  If you have to restart the bundle installer because of a failure it will check the files to see if they are good so you do not have to download them all over again.

  3. The bundle installer itself checks the version number of Pro PE apps in the registry, downloads installer files, hashes files to verify they are good if already there, and executes the installers/uninstallers.  It doesn't do anything exotic, nothing that would cause a kernel error.  Is it possible to temporarily disable your AV software during install?  What AV software is running?

    Thanks!

  4. What browser are you trying to use?  The old edge won't work, but the new one should.  There should be a option to choose where to put the license, on the cm stick or cmact.  Choose the cmact, because your cm stick has not arrived yet.

    Thanks!

Lots of work went into this release, many thanks to the developers and beta testers!  Get the release notes and the new unified installer on the downloads page.

  6. I removed all the categories from the single player missions.  It's ultimately up to the scenario developer to explain what their scenario is about and to give downloaders some idea of what they are getting.  Forcing the submitter to fill out extra fields and doing categorizing by mission size was tried in the past and it did not work out.

I think the best bet at this point is to use the tag system along with the description to let folks know what they are getting.  I added tag suggestions to the single player category for single_tank, platoon, company, battalion, and brigade.

Lack of reviews is a at least 20 year old problem.  No ideas on how to solve that.  Everyone seems to want to read the reviews, but only a select few take the time to write them.
