After searching through these forums for a bit, I found a post that said they resolved this error by rebooting.

Its never too late to rename existing children.

As far as I know, theres not a CTD problem. If your having problems, it would be good to have some details about it so it could get fixed. If it is just you, maybe its a driver problem or something that others might have some suggestions on.

You can attach them here. How big is it? I can adjust some settings to make sure it works.

What he said. What kind of foliage is it?? Single trees/bushes or the actual woods terrain type?
All it takes is a tiny speck of brightness in the TIS for me to start blasting away if I know no friendlies are in there. I wouldnt expect much less of the AI, although they do spot things better than humans at times, and other times they miss things they shouldnt.
Would it be possible to post a scenario where the two units start close to where this event happened?

I dont think i've ever seen the plow work against the steel beams. We tested this some in multiplayer before the beta version shipped and it seemed to be working ok for clearing mines... I cant recall if it was the host using the plow though.

LOL. Chill out people.
T72 is still on hold.

Only available in the pro version for now.

That file is a multiplayer component. It has nothing to do with the video card. Something is wrong with your directx installation. It sounds like you already tried the obvious steps, so i'm at a loss as to what to suggest. Are you using vista by any chance?

SB1 can be found for so cheap, its almost freeware. The demo is also still floating around on the net for people to try.
As for open source - no, it doesnt make sense. Half of the code lives on in Pro PE.

At the moment, stab never actually gets repaired. We will look into this, thx.

He means SB.

It will only use one of them.

3.2 Is refering to the driver version, not the internal firmware of the codemeter. Visit the codemeter site linked in the Pro PE FAQ to find the driver downloads.

Yep, I wont be here tonight. Maybe pick a small scenario and play in groups of 8?

You can just leave the codemeter software.

No. If you click the hotfix link on the home page of this site, youll get a download link.

Keep the troops behind cover in the woods. Like shot said, tell them to hold fire until you think they have a good shot.

Its up to you if you want to post mission packs - in the past I've gathered up a bunch of one persons work and posted it in one big zip file. I've also zipped up all my missions and send them to someone that just reformatted, but I dont think I'd post that online, not unless I could somehow figure out who made them to give them some credit. I've already run into that problem with a bunch of SB1 missions I want to convert. Whoever made it didnt put their name on the briefing, so its tough to give proper credit when a repost it as a pro pe sce.
Heres my point - Lets say Joe Bob spends a lot of time making a scenario or a map or whatever. He posts it on his VU site or personal site. People go there to get it. Fine. Joe Bob gets deployed to iraq, and cancels his site. All his hard work is gone. Poof. Or his site crashes for some reason, and nothings backed up. Some people might have his stuff on their hard drive but probably wont post it back up again. A great deal of effort and time/money is spent here to make sure that stuff stays available, and gets backed up. So, I'd like to see peoples wont get posted here so its always available to the community.
A related issue is the concept of centralization - being able to get almost everything you need in the same place. Some of these "open source" nuke type projects are very decentralized. If I wanted to fine a postnuke plugin that showed TS information, I would search the postnuke downloads area. I might find a "download" there that was actually a link to some guys personal site. Well, guess what, that guy switched ISPs or canceled his hosting account, and now the link is broken. I would end up googling and going all over the place to try to find what I needed. It was utter insanity.
Sorry for hijacking your thread gary.
Not meaning to highjack this thread, but it is simular...So, am i wrong to zip up my collection of downloaded missions that i have downloaded over the years mainly from here... then load the zip on my own web site for others new to the game to download one big mission pack... I do not have the makers permissions, and unless i read each mission i wouldn't know who made it anyway... but it's a need for new people to the sim and for back up purposes and all, (I do it with most of my games I play, VBS2, ArmA, SWAT etc etc)...
so this is considered wrong, or inappropriate?
thx

I guess not.

No. Try shooting from the edge of a ditch, and have fun drowning when the ditch runs close to water. See the sticky regarding converting sb1 scenarios for more info...

Sounds pretty reasonable to me. Do they die if you shoot them in the flanks?

We wrote this up in the release notes, under "known issues". http://www.steelbeasts.com/updates/SBProPE_Release_Notes.pdf
Theres no work around, other than shooting up the buildings yourself. One other thing to try would be to drop HE artillery on the buildings. That will set them on fire, and the nmy troops will evacuate the buildings within 10 minutes or so. Then the AI will engage them.

If we want to more accurately simulate the T72, maybe we should disable stabilization as well?
