  1. Those BMP skinds are a pain. You did a good job on lining up the pattern. I would add some weathering to give it a little depth. But you have a good foundation here.

A good way to line up paint schemes is by laying out the uv map as if it were unfolded. You will need to use your paint programs editing and scaling features as you cut and paste all the relative parts and maintain the layers you generate. Then it is just a matter of re-scaling the layers and placing them back on the original uv map. The sides of the turret can be a bit tricky but again save the demarcationed camo as layers so they are easily repositioned. Shapes on individual facets can vary as long as they line up at the parting point. Here are some examples .

  2. Actually it does mirror, just the texture is on the wrong side of the offending part. I figure Deja will get around to fixing it one day. :) As for the fix, I just filled the blacked out portion with a cobbled texture. What was your solution?

    Probably same as yours.

  3. No 1024 x 1024. Whats the fix?

Found the offending area of the uv map and repaired though I cant understand why the mapper chose to use this area and stretch it rather than just mirror whats on the otherside.

  4. Congo, did you increase the resolution on the T-72M4 skin? If so I can show you how to fix the dark ERA blocks on the right side of the turret.

    No 1024 x 1024. Whats the fix?

  5. Exactly, anyone remember this joke?

A BBC journalist is interviewing an elderly former Polish fighter pilot on live television.

Interviewer: So Mr Stanczewski, I understand that in 1943 you shot down five German aircraft in a single engagement. Could you tell us what happened?

Polish Fighter Pilot: Well we were flying at 20,000 feet when we spotted five Fokkers flying along below us. We dived down and I aimed at one of the Fokkers and fired a burst from my machine guns right into him and he exploded.

Then I saw that one of the Fokkers was on my tail, so I pulled round in a loop and got behind him, and fired and he went down on fire. I looked around and saw two Fokkers attacking my squadron leader, so slipped in behind them, and fired, and that was another Fokker going down in flames. The other Fokker tried to get away from me, but I got right up behind him, and blasted him with my machine guns and turned over and exploded.

There was only one of the Fokkers left now, and he was trying to get away, but I flew up behind him, shot - bang, bang, bang - and he blew up too!

Interviewer: I should point out for the benefit of the viewers at home, that the Fokker was a type of German aircraft used in the war.

Polish Fighter Pilot: No, no, no - these fokkers were Messerschmitts!

Didn't that broadcast come from one of BBC,s affiliate stations in Phuket, Thailand.

  6. You need the right tactics (arty and movement/direct fire/arty and movement... and so on), then T62 is a mighty weapon....

I was speaking in terms of the quality of the original skin as it looked out of place with the others.

  7. Detailing is just about finished, It just needs some weathering done at this point. I wont so much mind using this one in some of my scenarios.

  8. Its getting close, just working on the track file at the present time and even though it presents some problems from a skinning standpoint Im happy with the results

  9. Try Unzipping and dropping these two files into the appropriate mods folder (e.g. "woodland" or "winter") depending on which theme you want to modify.

    Sean,

One of the files is fubared. decal_veh.dds

  10. Both the T55 and T72 look very nice. Too bad they will be targets for my M1's and M2's ;)

Again thanks for sharing. Love your work.

    Cheers!

    I sympathize with your pain!!

    Couple of action shots.

  11. Submitted to dl section awaiting approval. Can't do much about track file. Both T-55 and T-72 use the same dds file but the models appear to be somewhat different with regard to the location of the end of the link pins. Don't know why they are not consistent.

  12. Impressive work as usual Congo, it would be great if the Ambulance got a model update in the coming upgrade, then you could work your magic on that as well :)

Thanks Crusty !! I have submitted to dl section but they still need extensive weathering done on them but they should appear shortly after approval.

Nice Job CC. If youre interested I included a track file in my desert pack that has all the alpha layers for the T158 track.
