  1. Playing It for the first time on June 6 2001. Not knowing where to go, or what to do. Then I did it every week for 16 years. Been away since April of 2017, Tempted to come back.
  2. If It was not for the Modern Leo, and CV90, I would think this was a cold war era exercise. I like the tanks ripping past old folks, kids, and babies in strollers a few feet away. Live fire within a stones throw from the crowd. I can't imagine something like this going on here in the U.S.A. It would be the best 4th of July ever IMO.
  3. I'll take Red. My significant other has volunteered Me for a special mission Friday night. No Co for Me.
  4. Big improvement in FPS. Happy dance will commence.
  5. It is nostalgia. The same reason Anyone collects old things. Be it Paintings, Sculptures, Music, Cars, Military Artifacts Ect. It is Human nature to collect old things. I collect old things to, Electronics, and Video games are not for Me, but I understand where He is coming from.
  6. I have a i7-4790K 4.00GHz GTX 980, 12 RAM, I recently upgraded to a GTX 1080, 32 RAM. Maybe a slight improvement in FPS for SB. Every other program I have was A quantum leap in FPS, with Much Higher resolution than before. All I want for 2017 is for My investment in My PC to pay some dividends In SB, even a few FPS better would Make Me do the happy dance.

  8. Nice read. In the, Trends in Defensive Operations section. "The advancing enemy had identified the obstacles and paused there for 20 minutes before deciding to bypass rather than breach. Unobserved, the opposing-force battalion continued movement on another covered route and eventually penetrated the seam between defending companies." An Unobserved obstacle is worthless, be it Mines, Dragons teeth, River, ECT.
  9. Daylight savings time In the US maybe? A Gentleman from Spain, and Your neck of the woods showed up an hour late because of it. Can catch people from other parts of the world off guard. Maybe time to post a world time clock in the TGIF forms, or mention it there to give people a heads up when the clocks in the US go back an hour in Fall, and Ahead an hour in spring.
  10. Nice job In the South, Ash, and Rotar, and good job with the UAV Rotar. That Is why I picked You first in the draft. I was so busy routing the reinforcements, and calling arty I did not have time to actually observe much, or man a vehicle and fight. Probably the most busy I have ever been as a Co. Just not enough manpower for the amount of Reinforcements, and tasks. The video gave Me a chance to see just how much of a meat grinder It was, and how well You guys handled it.
  11. If no volunteers by go time I'll step up for Red, Or Blue.
  12. Don't feel bad Sparty. Last night I had control of 2 vehicles. Each died within 10 seconds of coming into contact with the enemy. I spent most of the time observing for teammates in the f8 view. I've won, and lost many as a player, and as a Co since 2003 when tgif started. Last night I was in the same boat as You. Sometimes You are the Hammer, and sometimes You are the Anvil. Forget it, and move on. You will have a victory, Your confidence will rise, and all will be ok. Until You get crushed again.
  13. 13 Years later, and the same Bickering of "the scene is Impossible" remains. . If Not a Co relax, and follow orders. No one has made more Mistakes than Me. Many a person under My command has been lead into DOOM, or received a sabot of Mine up their arse because Of My mistakes, Volcano can attest to that. I learned long ago to accept it for what it is. A Good Co will accept the outcome of His team. If You are a Co, prepare, lay it on the line, and accept Your fate for Your decisions, victory or defeat. Learn from Your mistakes, and move on. Sometimes Your the Hammer, Sometimes Your the anvil.
  14. Wow. I was away for a for a time, and I come back to see Our leader is leaving. I will Be back In January. Damn 12Alfa I will Miss You. Been learning, and battling with You since 2001. I guess time marches on. Enjoy Your travels, The knowledge I gained from You, and Your experience was, and is invaluable.
  15. I don't even have the latest version of SB, just might listen in. Since You spoke up I guess You volunteered for Red. I can't wait to listen, and learn.
  16. Oh Man! If i wasn't taking a break from SB until Summer of next Year, I would so be all over Red Co. I might drop in to listen, and imagine the battle field in My minds eye.
  17. Only 30 More to Go for it to be official. Did My 100 in the 4 years before records where kept, I'm pushing 200.
  18. It is in it's little case, and on a shelf above My PC.
  19. In the 15 years I have played SB, sometimes real life interrupts it. I have taken a couple one year breaks away from SB in the past. It was Mid 2007 to early 2009 the last time I took a break. Honestly if My heart ain't in it I don't bother. Do it right, or don't do it at all is My moto. I am at that time again. See You all again in a year or so.
