  1. John: Are you sure this was not at CAT 85? At range 9 in Hohne, a Belgian mini landrover came our from behind the German military policeman as our tank troop was moving from the quarantine area onto the firing point. He drove out between the 3rd and 4th tanks for 1st troop Royal Canadian Dragoons and was hit by 21C. The tank came to a halt after running completely over the landrover while the rest of the tank troop waited for Charlie tank to appear in the firing lanes. As the radio net was over the loud speakers, the Charlie tank commander did not want to say that they ran over the truck but he had to use plain speech to clarify why he wasn't at the firing lanes. The crowd had pretty well all moved towards the main stands to watch the shoot so not everyone saw the accident. I was in the lead tank so I did not see it. The commander and loader also ran back to assist but soon returned to their tank. Several minutes later Charlie appeared at the firing lanes and they were told to remain mounted while we cleaned the blood off of the tracks and roadwheels. We didn't shoot that day but shot the next day instead. To the best of my knowledge there were only two men in the jeep. One died instantly while the other died soon after. Feel free to contact me as necessary, thank you.
