  1. My advice to you is to buy the one month time based license and give it a test try.  Only you will be able to see if the 125 dollar price tag is justified.  We can only give our opinion.  But I think it is well worth the price.

If you do not like it, no harm no foul, you do not have to purchase it. either way, it is best for you to try it yourself.  The community here, including the developers, is the best I have ever seen as far as online communities go and support for the game.

There is a video thread in the ground zero forum that is for anything.  I was under the impression that this was for SB videos like the screen shots one is for in-game screen shots.

+1 I concur.  This should be strictly SB videos.

  3. I tried doing a search but couldn't find it.  Is this a bug, or could it be my graphics card?     its an NVidia GeForce gtx 970m card.

When looking through the day site of the lemur, I noticed I couldn't see any trees, but through the night site I could.  I tried it on the eagle truck and mrap and it same thing, no trees through day site.

I added a Bradley to the test sce I did and I can see the trees fine through the Bradley day site.  Is this a bug, a known bug?(if is, sorry didn't find it through search), or my puter maybe?  I attached  Screenshots of the lemur sight and Bradley sight for com[arison, and he test sce I made just to have it look at the trees.   I was playing burning bridges, of course with my vehicles of preference.

  4. I used to play online a lot but don't have time for it anymore.  Heck, hardly have time now to play single player.  But I have a folder that I put all the scenarios I play in it as I change them to have a cav squadron in it and take off time limits since I hate time limits and like to be deliberate.  I have the original scenerios still so if I do play online I have them.

  5. Well, I got it to do it once in the table 8  scenario, but then  wouldn't happen again after that.    Tried making a sce with just the milan team and brad, couldn't get it to do it at all.   Wonder if it could be cause it was made with an older version of sb?

  6. Hello,

yesterday when I was trying out my Bradley table VIII scenario, when I did the rpg team engagement, after hitting the rpg team, one of the soldiers went flying into the air.  I haven't tried it again, but will test later.  meanwhile here is a screenshot of troop in air, and also sce is attached.

19D Cav Scout best job in the army.  Loved every minute of it, was only going to do three years and get out but loved it so much decided to stay in and do 20

Found the original Steel beasts game back when it first came out, played it, stopped for a bit, then picked it back up on 2003, formed a virtual unit called 2nd dragoons ( you can probably guess where I got that name from)

played until 2006 when I left for Iraq,  dabbled in it while in Iraq, returned from Iraq and played it more but no online as no time being married and all.  and now with  7 year old still no time to play online but do play it offline as often as possible.

IT is a good community, you will find lot of people here very helpful.  The support for SB Pro PE is the best I think of any game or simulation you will find anywhere, in my opinion.

I fond the community very welcoming when I first started out.

  8. Same happened to me just now.   I tried both,  3rd acr one worked ok  Bergen one froze

updated.  Can it be maybe a prob with scenario,  I just made a new one using same map, put a password on it,

then saved it, closed it, opened it, hit cancel, and it worked fine

  9. was neutral.

will try to recreate it again in a different scenario.  Seems odd to me cause I was able to see the itv and that was green also and I was actually towing the amx13

ok, update, when I put damage on it same as ITV, then I was able to see it.

when put other vehicles in it no damage was not able to see them.  only when I put damage on them was I able to see them

  10. Hello,

Last night, was trying out the top view on a sce I was working on a long time ago.   I did the top view on an M60 which was blue, then an ITV and AMX-13 which was on green team.  I attached pics, but I was able to see the ITV in top view but not the AMX-13,  though you can see the exhaust from it.  Here are the pics:   I was actually towing the AMX-13 and if you look at the top view  behind the M60, you can see the exhaust from the amx-13.  And I am using 4.04

  11. I will include it in missions I make, even though I really do not intend to use it.  I did at first to see but to keep playing in that view is too much like steel panthers type play.  It is good for  infantry in built up areas, or maybe even moving a platoon up in little space possible ie 3 feet instead of 3 meters)

    +1 for this.

It would make a good "What if the cold war went hot and we had to slap on the ERA and go" vehicle, a good "This is a Magach, squint harder" tanks, as well as a "This an a USMC M60A1 RISE Passive...Squint harder!" tank.

    Additional request:

Allow the Marder 1A3 to be loaded with 100% of it's ammo in the AP or HE ammo selection,

OR add all ammo types to both feeds --->> Can simulate Marder1A0 with single feed gun.

on your additional request, the first one, if I am reading it correctly, couldn't this be done just by simply setting one ammo type to zero and max loading the other  ammo type  ie set he to zero and max out the ap?

    What is a spur ride?

My unit did training at Bergen Hohne, 30 days at Hohenfels, tank gunnery at Bergen Hohne, then 30 days on the Czech border.  Started in January and ended in May.  When we got back one of the E-5s informally presented me with a pair of spurs and said I had earned them. I have always wondered what he meant by that gesture.  I still have the spurs.

its an event which normally will last 24 hours.  it is comprised of many stations where your knowledge is tested.  it is done they a land navigation course.   each station is manned by a spur holder.  each unit is different In how they do it.    one unit I was In the candidates were called spur maggots and they had to address anyone who had spurs as spur holder no matter what rank they were.   after the event you would have a ceremony, normally the evening the event finished, where the spur candidates would receive their spurs and spur certificate from their sponsor.   once u earned your spurs, you were allowed to   wear them at all formal dinners.  in your case you would not have been authorised as they were given to you informally. in order to be allowed you had to have a certificate.

The americans (at least those of 2nd Cav Rgt) wear spurs, so thats a start.

all soldiers who are in a cavalry unit are authorised to wear spurs.  they must either go through a spur ride or go to combat with a cav unit.   silver spurs go through spur ride. good spurs are combat spurs.    I have the combat spurs

  15. When I was on a Bradley, we always trained to use night sights even during the day.   I would switch back and forth between night and day when I was a gunner.  The way the night sights were portrayed  before, it was better to use them than it was the day site.  Yea great for those who love the night site, but realistically, lot of things factor during the day with using the night sites, which is why I would switch between both.
