  1. I wrote and recorded that with some buddies early in the Iraq war 2003 or so when I saw news reports of 3rd ID rolling across the desert - my old unit when I was in the Army and stationed at Vilseck, Germany 1992-1996. 1/8 Cav! I was going for an aggressive Ted Nugent vibe, since he was who I thought of when it came to aggressive type of no-holds barred rock and roll. Plus I just wanted a rocking' guitar solo. Ronnie Rokk really pushed it over the edge with his vocals, and Danny Berk can play anything on drums. I did the rest. PS I was in Desert Storm but assigned to a Patriot missile unit at the time. Lots of good times with Steel Beasts - real gentlemen - but unfortunately Steel Beasts hasn't followed me into the Mac world...yet...and, well, you know, once you go Mac you never go back! My favorite "military" themed song I ever wrote is called Shiloh, but alas no tanks were used on that battlefield. Ciao!
  2. Didn't mean to get into that discussion. Just wanted to bring up a discussion on the precedence being set by one of the biggest private companies in the world that games can now be rejected for being historically accurate. It is a private company's policy based on mass hysteria, not a government (political) edict. Have a great day!
  3. http://toucharcade.com/2015/06/25/apple-removes-confederate-flag/ Because of the use of the Confederate Battle Flag that is in the news lately due to its association with hate crimes and political use on government grounds. I just downloaded Ultimate General: Gettysburg (a pale imitation of Sid Meiers Classic Civil War series but the closest thing I could find for Mac) last week, and I see it is indeed gone now. Talk about throwing the baby out with the bathwater. A totally benign use of historical accuracy, in no way shape or form meant to harass or intimidate anyone, but rather to just be, well, historically accurate. In a war game. I'm all for removing the actual flag from state property like in South Carolina and putting it in a museum. But wiping out any use of it in any context by other agents? I know it seems hyperbolic, but I do tend to see this as akin to the attempts of the Taliban and its ilk to wipe out any mention of any religion other than Islam by destroying art that reflects anything it disagrees with. Yeah, it touches a bone

  6. Version 1.0

My update of my previous mission from SB1 "Cavalry to the Rescue" - updated for PRO PE - updated maps, scoring, positions, AI etc etc You only control two M1s and I provide a route unless you want to create your own. Should be fairly easy as opposed to controlling a company sized unit. *Edited by RnR - Thursday, March 09, 2006 Version 4 Final unless whatever* *Edited by RnR - Wednesday, March 08, 2006 This is version three where I basically toned down a little of the lethality so that those who follow the scripted path in the mission will have an easier time.*
