Like the art Jaguar, a bit like Foxhole but none topdown.

Bought the game just yesterday on Steam and I must say the game is quite good. It feels like you're playing an online battle with say 30-40 people, but it's actually just you on single-player. The AI really is that good.

It certainly ain't no tripple-A game, but considering the price (it's 25% off right now) it's pretty decent. Plus the graphics are kind like funny, which I like and which makes you feel not too seriously towards the actual gameplay.

  2. How about a historical single-player FPS game?

    Or as Steam describes it:

Rise of Liberty is a FPS single-player massive Revolutionary War battle simulator. Fire deafening cannons into the thick of the battle, stand in line formation and fire devastating volleys into the enemy. Gather your men for these monumental battles and defeat the enemy!

  3. Thanks, Red. Reentry looks very interesting indeed. Unfortunaterly it doesn't seems to be supporting VR. That's the trouble with VR - once you got used to it, you don't wanna go back to flat 2D screen.

  4.

Not really a game at all, but if you got a vr headset and a love for outer space, you'll be in for an amazing ride. It costs around 10 bucks on Steam and though it's quite short and rather limited (only a few interactive moments for the player) , the overall experience is breath-taking.

The videos of IL-2 Tank crew have me intrigued.

what versions of IL-2 will i have to purchase and where will i find the download.

    Well, there are two ways.

    1) Buy directly from the developer:

    https://il2sturmovik.com/store/battle-of-bodenplatte/

In the menu to the right, you'll also find a link to Tank Crew, which is still early access.

    2) Buy from Steam. However, presently you can only buy Battles of Stalingrad, Moscow and Kuban. Plus, in case you're going to buy from Steam, you'll have to buy Battle of Stalingrad first because Steam treads all the other titles as DLC's. Tank Crew should become available on Steam once it becomes finalized (at least that's what I heard).

  6. Yeah, in my humble opinion KCD one of the best games I ever played.

I think this guy sums KCD up perfectly (don't mind the comments about the bugs - since this video is quite old, those bugs have already been fixed).

@Jaguar After watching some videos on YT, I decided to go for KCD. Must say, and never better said before, "It´s my cup of tea" :D

Seems you can get alot of game play hours out of it, and hopfully they polished all the bugs on PC since release.  Overall I really like the idea and structure of KCD, I think it´s going to be quite worth it.  Again, thanks Jaguar!  Do I really need to learn how to read at start? xD

    Red

Glad you like it, Red. There are still some bugs, but no show stoppers as far as I can tell. The game has been patched extensively since it's release. Learning to read in this game is not a must, but I recommend you do. How you approach and play this game is entirely up to you - KCD provides a lot of freedom to the player.

    Ahoy!

That's a beautiful looking game!! I remember I saw that one a few years back. It's only multiplayer, right? I might try my hands on some day, but right now I just don't have the time (my guess is this game requires plenty of time).

Hey, in case you fancy some historical game set in the medieval time period I highly recommend this one:

It's still on sales on Steam.

The devs really toned down the AI - much better now imho. Sorry, but I haven't found the time to go online yet. Making things "worse", I now also, finally, got me a copy of Arma III since it was on sales on Steam last week. That'll keep me busy for some time, I guess.

Love the look of that new UBOAT game. I just wish someone would make a similar game, but for WW2 tanks instead. That would be a blast.

    Hi Jaguar,

Yes that´s the Discord invite for GB, just hit the link and accept the invite by Kris.

My nick there is "RedOneAlpha", aswell as ingame.

At what time do you guys normally play? I'm in Japan, so it might be difficult for me to join. Plus I don't have much time in the first place, which is one of the main reasons I'm focusing on single player.

If I can make it, I'll be using the same nick I'm using here, so you should recognize me if I show up.

Hi Jaguar. Glad you are enjoying it!

I understand what you mean, and just for the record, it used to be worst/better depending on how you like it, but yeah there´s plenty of others who say same.  There used to be a option when choosing terrorist hunt, were you could set it/tweak to your liking, but I see that it´s not there any more.  It might only be available now for those who put up a server, not sure I would have to ask.

If you so like, you can join the Ground Branch Discord channel, from there you can meet up with people who want to play online and/or join a group with there own Discord channel.  You can also aske questions or just meet new friends, the devs usually hang-out there.  I can set you up with a team if you like and/or just help you out.  Just let me know what "nick/avatar" your going to use if you so decide to...

Most are nice folks there and we have a good time playing with the group Iam in along with "Nike-Ajax" from here on SB.  Or you can just hook up with who ever you find there.  Me and Nike are trying to form a Fireteam for the Ground Branch and Squad platforms, (maybe Arma3 too) so if you are interested or anybody else is, just let me and Nike know.

For the rest, have fun and if in need of help, just let me know.

    Red

    Thanks for the invitation, Red!

Is that Ground Branch Discord channel showing up inside the GB server brower? Or do I have to access the channel through a different link?

Right now I'm playing with the God mode ON. I know it's cheating - but so does the AI. Anyway, even with the God mode enabled, I still try my best to get the first shot in. If not, I'll take mental notice. I found for me the frustration level is much lower now.

New Ground Branch build update and "Hot-Fix Patch" #001 released...

    https://www.groundbranch.com/index.php/2018/08/19/build-update-001-hotfix-patch/

    Red

Well, I got my copy of Ground Branch. Overall I really like the feel of the game, but I think the devs should tone down the AI a bit. The reaction time and accuracy of the AI appears to be somewhat over the top imho.

But I'm really looking forward to the finished version.

  13. Thanks guys for your input regarding single player games. I might give Arma a try one of these days. Regarding Ground Branch, yeah I saw that on steam, too, but thanks for the heads-up. I think I'll first wait to see some reviews on Youtube.

Btw, I wonder when (if) Arma 4 will see the light of day. Has anyone heard anything about that? Arma 3 was released in 2013, if I remember correctly. That's almost 5 years ago, which is a long time when it comes to PC games.
