  1. Be nice to see how the formation template thingy works too and how we can paste a whole company on the map in one go.
  2. 3 or 4 hours would be even better. 3 or 4 minutes would be better still. Don't want 3 or 4 seconds though - I'm not ready
  3. Ok , thought I had a bad install. Will be re-installing in a week or two anyway Thanks ! Mark
  4. Ok thanks, I'll see if anyone knows in the other forum. Enjoy your trip
  5. Hi : According to the manual when I am in the map screen and I start game my LOS view item is removed and I should get a Get Log Report button if I understand the manual correctly. I do lose my LOS view option once the game starts but I do not see a Get log option. I can still click the LOS view location but there is no text. Am I missing something ? or is there a problem with my install ? I am running 3.28 / Windows 10.
  6. No, I can't find one. I think I better post a question in the support forum so as not to clog things up here. Thanks
  7. Yes, I usually miss most of those chat messages. When I am busy I do not want that info until I'm ready for it. Asking to have it displayed when I click a unit in map view would be easiest for me and likely for the Devs. A "Request ammo status" over the radio would be more realistic although it would be awkward to direct the request to the unit in question. We don't have real comms so a message window would have to pop up with all the possible recipients displayed. Then we have to figure which unit is which. We do our movement orders in the map window so that's where it would be most convenient. Perhaps we click on a unit and underneath one of the options is a request ammo option and a few seconds later you hear the answer verbally or in written form. This would require a fair amount of work by the devs. I think the best option is you just click on a unit and its ammo state is displayed in the task bar below would be much easier. Perhaps not quite as realistic but close enough for me.
  8. Ha Ha Ha don't know if that's a sign of support or whether a rude gesture has been made in my general direction Ha Ha
  9. Thank god ! That was a real game killer. Any chance we can see now the ammunition status of a unit in the map window ? I hate not knowing if a vehicle I'm moving forward has the appropriate ammo left. Or if a squad needs to withdraw to resupply. Actually switching to the unit spoils the game flow for me.
  10. I haven't played OFP but perhaps it's as Apocalypse 31 is saying more rubble and small objects to dirty up the urban environments would bring everybody to a happy medium. As far as the actual fighting, we don't really know what has changed in 4.0 other than the devs and beta testers. Might be wise to put off the discussion until after 4.0 releases ? That being said I vote we release it today ! I got nothing to do other than housework
  11. I would like to see that carried a step further to skins and be able to choose a skin when you place the unit. That way we could have multiple uniforms on the same side.
  12. Any chance of seeing a video of rain/snow from commanders position ? In say a Leopard 2A6?
  13. I would love to see what you are describing although not quite what we see above - maybe some day we will be closer. We have to see in 4.0 what we have once some new maps are made. Ground detail will be much closer to what we see above I think. Really what the above sim has is more objects and more detailed buildings. I actually find SB looks better in the distance and It feels more realistic visually even though there is less detail. The sim above feels cramped - everything is too close. Would be fun clearing towns and calling tank support but that's just a matter of scenario design. I suspect modders could do a huge amount with buildings and objects - unfortunately I'm not one
  14. I suspect as with any software you can concentrate on realism or you can concentrate of graphics. To do both takes much more time and you rarely see it. If Esim didn't do awesome internals and went for less realism I'm sure this sim would look like above. Depends on what you like most. I like what we have personally.
  15. Great stuff ! Anyone know if the Leopard 2A6 has slat armor ?
  16. Great ! Now we can create special forces teams ! Might need some new skins
  17. Me too. In fact I'm liking everything ! Thanks for all the work to everyone involved. I saw a Centurion crew in one of the first videos so fingers crossed that it may make it as playable
  18. I'm sure this will give the Devs/players a headache in the future. Not so sure I would want this from a game perspective but it may be a thing soon. http://www.extremetech.com/extreme/143353-canadian-camouflage-company-claims-to-have-created-perfect-invisibility-cloak-us-military-soon-to-be-invisible
  19. Man those look nice. I would love to see some WW2 stuff. Problem is they are so busy with modern. They would likely need to bring in help with a whole game/module. Perhaps they could just drop in the odd AFV from time to time like they do with the cold war stuff. Really, I see no reason not to - unless they are not interested in the time period. Fire control programming would be much simpler and no problem with getting info.
  20. Ya, He seemed to be getting a bit talkative so I thought I would give it a shot
