This zip contains some revised animation files for the smoke, flame, and dust. Thanks to Fidel and ChanceBS for the inspiration. I use JSGME to manage my Mods so the folder structure included in the Zip is set up to be dropped into a MODS folder in your main SB Pro PE folder. You may also use these files by backing up your originals in the Images folder, and then replacing them with these.

Here are a few new skys. Nothing too artistic here, just the basics redone to go with the latest Skydome Rev 4. The Zip file includes a Mod enabler program that works with the included paths to let you easily turn these skys on and off. Each is formatted at 1170 x 256, which turns out to give the optimum results (clarity without graininess) for this skydome. To try some of the non-standard skys, just save a copy of sky_d1.bmp as something else, and then rename a copy of one of the others as sky_d1.bmp.

This Mod demonstrates the proper use of the new Skydome made by 121Nilsson. The Sky_d1.bmp is 1280 x 512, with the light source positioned 96 pixels from the bottom, and 320 pixels from the right. With this positioning the sun appears just above the horizon. You may position the sun higher in the sky, as long as it is located due East, and it will remain properly aligned with the light/shadows generated by the game. A copy of JSGME.exe is also included for easy activation/deactivation of the MOD.

The replaces the stock train tracks. Adds creosote color to the ties. Removes the rust from the top of the rails. Improves the color harmony of the ballast along the railroad right of way.

This is a conversion of Viper's excellent Desert M1A1 into a High Resolution TIS skin. Try it out, and if there's a desire for more vehicle types the process to make them is ready to go.

This is just a few quick enhancements to the improved track files that Jaguar published. The files have been upsized, and sharpened, and the color balance has been adjusted to provide a little better harmony with the environment. If extract these using the directory structure included in the Zip you'll be able to use the Mod enabler to turn these tracks on or off whenever you'd like. You can make copies of the Woodland folder and rename them Desert, and Winter to make these useable in all of your scenarios

This sky texture has the sun properly alighed with the light source used by the graphics engine. You'll see brighter surfaces when looking away from the sun (where the sky is darkened), and shaded ones looking toward the sun (where the background is bright).

Jaesen Jones' Generic Mod Enabler is an easy way to manage your skin library. Place the exe file in My Documents/eSim Games/Steel Beasts/mods and run it to initialize it. This will place a MODS folder inside the mods folder. Now create within the MODS folder a folder for each of your various skins, or families of skins. Use descriptive names to make it easy to identify them. Within those folders duplicate the mods directory file structure where you want your skins, and put the replacement files there. For example: My Documents/eSim Games/Steel Beasts/mods/MODS/Iraq/textures/desert/m1a1.bmp When you want to change skins, just run JSGME, and it will take care of backing up, and replacing your skins for you.
