  11. ITEC moves to Prague next year.
  12. In the UK, AFV Sim fantasised with the idea of setting up a centre containing around 12 desktop trainers and hiring it out to the British army. We thought the centre could also be used by SB gamers for LAN parties. The army eventually took a different route, plus we had run out of available free space and so the idea was put on the shelf. If we ever have some more free space, we’d consider setting up a small centre, but it would only be for the sheer hell of it as I don’t think it could be a commercially viable project.
  13. Very similar, except it doesn't have a COAX/OFF/MAIN switch.
  14. A few desktop ones. http://www.steelbeasts.com/sbforums/showthread.php?t=15817 There's a few others lurking in the shadows.
  15. Unfortunately some customers do like the Leopard Gunnery Skills Trainer system on show at ITEC. http://halldale.com/news/more-contracts-rheinmetall-0
  16. The controls are available to civilians but are costly compared to standard joysticks. There are a few users and owners on the forum.
  17. The Open General Export Licence (OGEL) allows us to export the controls to; Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland (Republic of), Italy, Japan, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom and USA An application has to be made for a Standard Individual Export Licence (SIEL) along with obtaining an End User Undertaking (EUU) to export to all other countries. A sales and distribution agreement prevents us selling our M1A1 Gunners and Commanders controls in the USA.
  18. The CAE trainer does has the power traverse. It's a thumb operated left/right lever. In the usual British fashion, it doesn't look like any other control you may have seen.
  19. One question about the controls in the "Warrior on the CAE stand" picture - is this SpinKit gear? No, those Warrior controls were supplied by CAE and use CAE software. SpinKit is something that has been developed for the hand crank controls using SB.
  20. Going to be there 11-13th.
