  1. They probably do as they are there for the safety staff to keep track on where the AFVs are pointing and as a ref point for the crews. With the size of the Wr turret they are not as easy to see.

  2. The Warminster scheme is excellent. I dont know if you want to include it but it was traditional for A Squadron 1st RTR to have tanks named for the latter A. Cant speak for Charlies ride, but at least one of them was called 'Argyll'. I can perhaps find out some of the other names if its of any use.

    Ive a couple of pictures I can probably scan from the Concord book on Challenger2. Nothing very much to it really, if the gun barrel is 0 degrees, the apex of the 2 lines is somewhere in the centre of the turret, with the 2 lines extend at about 11 o clock and 1 o clock when looking forward. The black number would usually be repeated on the first skirts at the front.

    Keep up the great work. :)

    Mine was AJAX. The others in the Tp were ACE and AGGRESSIVE. They are usually on the skirting plates hence would be difficult to do.

  3. KT,

    I am very impressed.

    I noticed on the current download that there isn't a turret file. I know its eye candy and not critical on the "green" version but will look a bit strange on the desert, BATUS and Warminster versions.

    Not that I am sure you are busy enough already.

    I am very impressed, pleased with your work. I can feel a change in skin coming on again!

  4. KT,

    I am getting very excited. I could have a tank that looks like my first Tank at Warminster.

    I you replace the St Andrews Cross with the Attached Chinese Eye.

    Change the C/S to 10 in a triangle and the VRN to DS23AA then it would be my first tank. They would also need to be black.

    With reference to your earlier question. The Comd can't remember the VRN.

    The Bde marking for Falcon 2RTR from Telic is the Desert Rat of Y Armd Bde as you already have.

    The Batus/Warminster BG colour scheme is spot on.

    Excellent work

    The Red CV90 looks like a Batus Saftey Warrior!

  5. I would have to agree. The detail is straight from OP Telic 1. All they require is a more realistic Skin to give them that authentic look. May be a good source for the Yellow KT is after.

    I seem to recall that FP and AA are more of a gamers game without the complexity of SB; not that I want to get that argument started here aswell!!!

    The focus of the discussion on ARRSE however seems to be how you can ride a bike with te stand down!!!

  6. Somnus,

    I think your ranting has left a number of people a little confused. The majority of users in the forum will not be aware of the joys of fleet managment that you guys at the 2nd and the rest of the RAC need to deal with - I do know where you are coming from.

    KT is only trying to match the colours observed in photos so that we can make the Leo 2A5 look more like a CR2 as CR2 is currently not available in SB. This will only change if we the UK decide to employ ESim to provide a desktop simulation for our crews.

    FEARNAUGHT!

  7. Same. Looks very very good. I would of course prefer mine with Chinese eyes as opposed to the St Andrews Cross of the Scots DG!

    Awsome!

    We like the americans put rings around the barrell. This one would have 3 to signify 3 Tp. Some units out extra rings at the front of the barrell to signify the CS. ie

    30 = I III

    31 = II III

    32 = III III

    Hope this makes sence.

    Winter cam is not something we have gone for in the past unless the crews got out the white paint!

  8. The image is from the Demo Sqn at Warminster. The black C/S board is so the during cse the call sign of the vehicle can be changed without moving all the students around, 2LT who was playing Tp Sgt in C/S 41 can then become the Tp Ldr in C/S 40 without having to cross deck to another panzer.
