  1. Using fortifications end to end, a reasonably effective A/Tk ditch can be created. Have not yet tried bridging it... but the CGF were not impressed.
  2. I've been using peek Through which seems to work well: http://www.lukepaynesoftware.com/projects/peek-through/
  3. Last time I checked the opposed rates of advance - even achieving a 3:1 ratio advantage in the attack the advance to contact speed should be around the 5.5 KPH in open terrain. If the gound has hasty or prepared defence this gets slower. 20km / 20km should provide sufficient space for the time being... If you are whizzing through then the enemy are too easy...
  4. How many man hours does it take to get to this stage?
  5. I spent $125 10 years ago and have never looked back. Upgrade and join in the fun!!!
  6. Got them. Looks good I will do some additional work on them as time permits - but thanks very much!
  7. Awesome. Cheers Dark. I look forward to the links going live!
  8. Good scenario. I made the school boy error of forgetting the recover asset at the breaching site and the lane got clogged. The actual breech was messy but successful. Break out was messy and unsuccessful. Look forward to trying this one again. Mine field is in a pig of a position. I also think that 5 Btys might be a touch generous...
  9. until

Watching the 20 Armd Inf Bde and Queen's Royal Hussars video - A VJTF set of missions should provide a good variety of vehs to use. Not sure we will be able to replicate the comms frictions
  10. Whats the scenario for this one - might have a go tonight...
  11. I thought this was the case, but I wondered if I might have missed something. I generally find that points to cross are difficult to find and end up changing the river profile in the map editor to create straight sections of the narrowest river type. Its not ideal. Hopefully the new terrain engine will make a difference. Also hope that that request Grenny made makes it up the ladder one day. It is something we give our Engineer Recce in UK CATT so they can make sense of the River.
  12. It would be a case of driving the Engr recce Veh to pull up to the river bank and select interrogate. After a little while of dismounts running around, simulating taking measurements etc it would tell you whether the river is fordable or what the distance between banks are and therefore whether a bridge could be laid or not...
  13. Can any Vehs interrogate the terrain to determine things like the width of rivers etc to determine whether a bridge can be laid at that location or whether a river may be fordable etc?
  14. Just had another look with the ammunition as Hesh Nature 2 and Smk as nature 3. Tell backs correct as shown. However if the synthetic commander requests Hesh the loader throws Smk up the breech and selects Smk. If player commands then then the correct natures are loaded with the correct tellback... It would seem that the CR2 has 3 loader feedback files.
  15. I know that this has been reported before in earlier additions; however, the tell backs on the CR2 are still incorrect for HESH and Smk, especially if the ammo is set to allow the commander to select the correct nature - ie you get HESH when asked for rather than smoke. To get the right nature loaded when ordered by the commander, HESH needs to be in nature 3 and Smoke in Nature 2. First image shown the ammo set up and the second shows HESH selected as ordered by the Commander but showing smoke in the tell back. Whilst ballistically similar it is the tell back that tells the gunner what he is firing. Would this be difficult to change?
  16. 2 week wait for me then. Off on leave and France for 2 weeks. Something to look forward to too wash away the post holiday blues.
  17. I'm with KT on this one. More Engrs = more possibilities.
  18. Whoop whoop, in time for summer leave!!!!!!
  19. Dark, Did you get anywhere with this one?
  20. This would seem like a reasonable compromise to me!!! Thanks for the update. Mid July and the £ may have regained some strength against the $. Damn this politics nonsence!!!
  21. $40 was better value for money last week. Bloody Brexit!!!!!
