General

Based on the Mowag Piranha chassis, this is the Australian PC companion to the ASLAV-25, and is functionally identical to the Canadian Bison APC. It maximizes internal space by eliminating the main turret, and having a box-like extension of the hull to the rear of the commander's cupola.

The armour is thin, consequently exposure to the enemy should be limited and any mounted weapon systems should only be used for direct fire in support of its dismounted infantry, or in emergencies against other light vehicles. By default this vehicle is equipped with a pintel mounted .50cal M2HB machine gun but alternately may carry an MAG (M240), MG3, or one of three remote weapon stations: the Lemur, M151 Protector (NL), or M153 Protector, greatly improving its combat potential.

Cross country performance is similar to all the LAV series, and the vehicle is amphibious with minimal preparation.

This vehicle is crew-able at the Commander (F7) and Driver's (F9) positions, but only partially modeled with rudimentary interior views.

The dismount section for the ASLAV-PC is 8 men, carrying 4 M136 (AT4) light anti-armour weapons, a medium machine gun, and 5.56mm rifles.

See this article for some hints about ASLAV employment.
