General

Based off of the Tigr 4x4 reconnaissance vehicle the Kornet-D is a Russian anti-tank missile carrier intended to replace the aging BRDM-2 AT (9P148). The modeled version is the Kornet-D1 equipped with dual quad-missile 9M133M Kornet-EM launchers in tandem popup mounts that entered Russian service in 2019. Taking advantage of the fire control system's fire-and-forget capability, the vehicle can engage two different targets with salvo of 2 missiles launched less than a second apart or engage a single target with the same 2 missile salvo to overcome active defense systems. Thanks to its thermal capability, the Kornet-D can operate under day/night, adverse weather, and enemy countermeasure (smoke) conditions. If necessary, the crew can launch missiles remotely up to a distance of 50m (not currently modeled).

As of revision 4.156 the Kornet-D1 may be equipped with the Diehl Active Vehicle Protection System (AVePS) to enhance protection against RPG and ATGM threats.
