General

A variant of the M113G3/A3, the M113G3 Engineer may be equipped with a towed Mine Clearing Line Charge (MICLIC) trailer to breach minefields. Additionally, this vehicle - along with the Engineer versions of the GTK Boxer, M2A2, MT-LB, Piranha V, TPz Fuchs 1A6, Unimog 1300L, and Ural 4320 - is able to mark cleared lanes in minefields, but must not tow a MICLIC trailer to do so, and may carry barrier material (concertina wire rolls) and construct wire obstacles (rev. 4.000).

Beginning with version 2.538 of Steel Beasts Professional, the ability to tow a MICLIC trailer is an option for this vehicle, the GTK Boxer, M2A2 Engineer, MT-LB, and TPz Fuchs 1A6 and no longer a dedicated vehicle selection. Scenarios made prior to this will need updating as any MICLIC vehicles will no longer be present, although they may still appear on the map screen. In order to equip the MICLIC trailer, select the vehicle, right-click and check 'MICLIC' under 'Options' in the popup menu.

The engineer section for the M113G3 Engineer is 7 sappers/pioneers equipped with 5.56mm rifles. Note that prior to version 3.002, carried troops are unable to dismount when towing a MICLIC trailer.

Beginning with revision 4.156 the M113G3 Engineer may be equipped with the Diehl Active Vehicle Protection System (AVePS) to enhance protection against RPG and ATGM threats.
