Crew Positions

Tank Commander's Position F7

As with the commanders position in the M2, the commanders position of the M3 is fully crewable and modeled identically. Refer to the M2A2 entry for further information on this and all other crew positions.

Gunner's Position F6

  • WARNING: When in the Gunner's Position, the ATGM launcher must be lowered before moving out, or you will risk damaging it. Use SHIFT + Z to lower the launcher, and SHIFT + Q to raise it. You are able to to drive around for several seconds with the launcher fully raised, but generally speaking you should avoid moving until the launcher is less than 2/3rds raised.

NOTE: When you jump out of the Gunner's Position (such as to the Commander's Position or External View), the AI gunner will always remember to lower the launcher. If you receive launcher damage from moving, then only the human gunner is to be blamed. It is generally a good habit to always press SHIFT + Z before moving, when in the Gunner's Position.
