General

Developed in 1976 as a private venture, the Pandur I is wheeled 6x6 APC manufactured by Steyr-Daimler-Puch. Produced since 1986, the Pandur I is in service with the Austrian, Belgian, and Slovenian Armies, along with the Kuwait National Guard and other small operators.

The modeled version is the basic “A” model for the Austrian Army featuring an all-welded steel Type-330 hull, steering linkages and drivetrain components protected within the hull, and spall lining and mine protective carpeting to minimize secondary penetration and mine blast effects. Armour protection is light: equivalent to 12.7mm AP across the front 30° arc and 7.62mm AP protection across the rest of the vehicle. A central tire inflation system and run flat tires are provided to enhance mobility. Weapons fit is determined by which version of the Pandur I is chosen in the Mission Editor. The basic Pandur I carries a 12.7mm (0.50 cal) machine gun mounted in an "Upgunned Weapon Station" providing light protection for the gunner while the Pandur I (RWS) mounts the Elbit ERCWS-M remote weapons station.

This vehicle is crew-able at the Commander's (F7), Gunner's (F6), Driver's (F9), and Squad Leader's (F11) positions, but only partially modeled with rudimentary interiors.

The dismount section for the Pandur I is 8 men, equipped with 2 M136 (AT-4) light anti-armour weapons, an MG3, and 5.56mm rifles.
